The Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources. The mining area covers an area of 30 km² which is under the sixth generation Contract of Work (COW) with a total area of 1,303 km². The Martabe Gold Mine is located on the west side of the island of Sumatra, Batang Toru Sub-district, North Sumatra Province.

The Martabe Gold Mine began full production on 24 July 2012 and has a resource base as of 30 June 2022, of 6.5 million oz of gold and 64 million oz of silver. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is more than 7 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver per year. 

PT Agincourt Resources involves more than 3,000 employees and contractors, around 99% of whom are Indonesian citizens, and more than 70% are from local villages.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) holds 95% shares of PT Agincourt Resources. PTDTN is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk. with 60% share ownership and PT Pamapersada Nusantara with 40% share ownership, as well as part of PT Astra International Tbk business group. A total of 5% of PT Agincourt Resources' shares are owned by South Tapanuli District Government and North Sumatra Provincial Government.

To strengthen the existing Environment team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for candidate to fill the role:

FIELD ASSISTANT 1 - REHABILITATION (ENV 2305044)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Environment Department and reports directly Supervisor – Environment Rehabilitation.

The role of the Field Assistant 1 - Rehabilitation is to support reclamation and revegetation activities on ex mining activity area based on environmental permit document, reclamation plan five years, and government regulation.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Minimum High School Graduate or equivalent; Preferable Diploma Degree in Science/Natural Resources Management.

2. Minimum familiar with revegetation and land management.

3. Minimum familiar with nursery management.

4. Good interpersonal, communication, and coordination.

5. Service and target oriented.

6. Hold driving license (A).

1. Preferable have experience in Reclamation and Revegetation Activities.

 

TRADESPERSON 1 - ELECTRICAL AND INSTRUMENTATION (PRO 2305042)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department and reports directly to Supervisor - Electrical and Instrumentation.

The role of the Tradesperson 1 - Electrical and Instrumentation is to assist the Trades personnel and Leading Hand with the Electrical and Instrumentation maintenance services and repairs as directed by the Electrical Supervisor or delegate. This includes routine maintenance tasks, new work and modifications. The incumbent will ensure that all tasks are performed in a safe, professional, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost-effective manner. The incumbent will ensure that all tasks are carried out taking into consideration the criticality of plant, timeliness for returning to service and other maintenance requirements priorities with associated facilities, plant, equipment or apparatus that are being serviced.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Graduated from Technical High School or Polytechnic or approved Apprenticeship Electrical and Instrumentation qualification.

2. Desirable has First-Aid qualifications and Electrical qualifications and skills.

3. Possess a valid recognised Driver’s licence.

4. Minimum has 3 years experience in a similar position within the mining, oil & gas or similar camp or industrial / commercial environment.

5. Experience with domestic and commercial Electrical or AC/Refrigeration equipment and apparatus.

6. Ability to interpret electrical schematic and single line drawings.

7. Good knowledge of occupational hazards within industrial / commercial industries.

8. A good understanding of world class mining safety requirements.

9. Experience with servicing of Containerised ‘Reefers’ Chiller and Freezer units.

10. Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.

11. Ability to follow and demonstrate a good understanding of ‘Safe Working Procedures’.

12. Experience with electrical and instrumentation maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes, also installation methods and practices.

PLANT METALLURGIST (PRO 2305045)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Metallurgy) Department and reports directly to Senior Metallurgist.

The role of the Plant Metallurgist is to assist to monitor and report on all aspects of plant performance. Provide technical and operational support to the Operations Team to ensure that all metallurgical parameters and control strategies in the process plant are achieving design parameters with particular emphasis on safety and environment, productivity, quality and cost. 

Support the data entry clerk to complete timely metallurgy repots include the daily, weekly, and monthly report. Assist to manage the work of metallurgical technicians within metallurgical laboratory and in the processing plant or survey campaign to monitor the plant performance.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Minimum Tertiary qualifications in either Metallurgy or Mineral Processing.

2. Minimum 2 years experience gained in production metallurgical role within the resource sector.

3. Minimum 1 year experience in CIL/CIP gold processing.

4. An understanding of the production flow sheet of a CIL Process Plant.

5. Identifying sources of variability and making recommendations for improvements

6. Ability to manage the work of metallurgical technicians on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.

7. Ability to analyze, obtain and process information as material for troubleshooting in plant.

8. Knowledge of the methods, tools raw materials, and technology used in the metallurgical processing environment.

9. Thorough knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.

10. Good verbal and written English language skills and understand and efficiently carry out written and oral instructions.

JUNIOR ENGINEER - DESIGN (TMF 2305046)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in TMF Department and reports directly to Engineer - Design.

The role of the Junior Engineer – Design is to support the TMF technical teams for modelling the Construction sequence, material take out to support monthly and annual planning including to support costing analysis. He/she shall be responsible to collect field survey data for record and produce as-built drawings, verify field data if it didn’t match the design from Consultant. The Junior Engineer – Design will also be familiar with the construction schedule and track performance against plan, including the controls for AMD management and record keeping for materials placed.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Bachelor Degree ini Civil Engineering or Mining

2. Desirable is Membership of Engineers Association.

3. Has POP Certificate be added value.

4. Minimum has 3 years of experience in operating drafting software and Mining software, such as Autocad 3D/Surpac/ Minescape and ArcGIS will be a value plus.

5. Minimum has 2 years of experience in the construction field.

6. Good communicator and proactive in safety.

 

SENIOR ENGINEER – MINE PLANNING (MPDS 2305038)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in MPDS Department, and reports directly to Superintendent - Strategic Mine Planning.

The role of Senior Engineer – Mine Planning is to assist Superintendent - Strategic Mine planning related with the various project development study in particular with the strategic mine planning LOM, cost and budget and design aspect.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Bachelor Degree in Mining Engineering. Master Degree is preferable.

2. Certificate of competency for frontline operational supervisor (POP).  Certificate of Competency for Middle Operational Management (POM) is preferable.

3. Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.

4. Experience more than 7 years in Mine Planning in Hard Rock Mining.

5. Certified engineered would be a plus (IPP/IPM PII).

6. Strong technical mine planning, cost and budget knowledge and skills.

7. Strong working knowledge of Surpac, Minsched mine schedule and able to operate whittle software will be advantage.

8. Strong knowledge and ablility to created Mine design and block model.

9. Knowledge and ablility to carry out the duties and responsibilities of the Senior Mine Planning.

10. Good skills in English language (listening, speaking, writing).

11. Familiar with Ore reserve reporting, Feasibility Study, RKAB.

12. Able to drive well and have SIM A.

MECHANICAL FITTER – FIXED PLANT (PRO 2305039)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department and reports directly to Supervisor – Mechanical.

The role of the Mechanical Fitter – Fixed Plant is to provide ‘hands-on’ support for the Supervisor – Mechanical, so as to ensure that the maintenance, modifications, servicing and installation activities carried out by the Mechanical maintenance team are performed in a professional, safe, diligent, timely, cost efficient and cost effective manner, whilst taking into consideration the priority requirements of the Process Plants and associated infrastructure’s Mechanical plant, equipment and apparatus being attended to. Close interaction with peers in the Electrical or Instrumentation, Operations and Metallurgical teams as well as Maintenance Planning and Warehouse personnel will be crucial to the overall success of this role.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Graduated from Polytechnic or Technical training institute or approved Apprenticeship with Mechanical Fitter qualifications.

2. Minimum has 5 years experience in similar position within the mining, oil and gas or similar heavy industrial environment.

3. Experience and having knowledge in fixed plant equipment maintenance such as crusher, belt / screw conveyor, vibrating screen, SAG/Ball/Vertical mill, pumps, hydraulic system, or VPA filter press.

4. Experience with maintenance of VPA filter press machines is preffered.

5. A good understanding of world class & Indonesian mining standards and associated safety standards (SMKP, ANZS, BS, IEC, and ASTM).

6. Experience with Mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes.

7. Experience with Mechanical installation methods and practices.

8. Good knowledge of occupational hazards within the mineral processing industry.

9. Ability to interpret mechanical drawings.

10. Must have good communication skills and work in a team environment.

SENIOR ENGINEER - MECHANICAL RELIABILITY (PRO 2305040)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Processing (Maintenance) Department and reports directly to Coordinator - Reliability Engineering..

The role of the Senior Engineer - Mechanical Reliability is to manage the Reliability Engineering function within fixed plant maintenance and provide technical support to the Maintenance execution teams in line with operational needs. They will work as part of a team and seek continuous improvement opportunities and provide professional support to the broader maintenance group. The role will seek to improve reliability of the crushing, milling and gold extraction circuits in line with business plans.  It will also provide support and coaching on reliability principles to the Condition Monitoring technicians and employees across the maintenance and operations teams.

Key Tasks of this position are:

- Ensure all critical equipment is effectively covered by the maintenance program and inventory system.

- Ensure that the Preventative Maintenance Strategy and Reliability services align and are full documented and managed from the CMMS (Pronto).

- Ensure all reliability activity, records, measurements, samples, photos and benchmarking data is correctly interpreted, stored, modelled and communicated to the relevant stake holders.

- Ensure that all critical equipment is inspected with an appropriate condition monitoring technique after any major maintenance or modification have been completed.

- Ensure that any Operational Performance Gains obtained from the application of reliability and condition monitoring programs are recorded, monitored and reported.

- Ensure Equipment Maintenance Plans and PM type, frequency and schedule align with reliability and condition monitoring programs.

- Manage and document the condition monitoring equipment and programme, use overall site vibration levels as a measure of success. 

- Run routine defect elimination meetings as outlined by the Manager - Maintenance.

- Facilitate RCM workshops documenting the outcomes of these workshops and provide log detailing all changes to the CMM’s system.   

- Maintain a watch list and have a weekly watch list meeting with the Mechanical and Electrical Superintendents, escalate issues as required.

- Maintain a training register and ensure all mandatory training is completed in a timely fashion.

- Provide support for risk register reviews.

- Develop and maintain a close working relationship with the maintenance planning team to ensure the rapid and accurate transfer of any condition monitoring information that has the potential to effect the safe and effective operation of plant.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:

1. Recognised Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Electrical.

2. Has Vibration, Oil Analysis and NDT Training Qualification.

3. Desirable has Formal Root Cause Analysis training / qualification.

4. Possess broad based, experience in similar engineering roles within the mining, oil & gas or similar heavy industrial environment.

5. A good understanding of world class mining standards and associated safety standards (ANZS, BS, IEC, ASTM and PAS 55).

6. A good understanding of ‘Computer Maintenance Management Systems’ (CMMS).

7. Extensive previous experience with reliability engineering in a mining process plant or heavy industry environment.

8. Hands on knowledge of Pronto or similar CMMS software.

9. Knowledge of maintenance tactics development tools (RCM, FMEA, PMO, etc).

10. Broad based comprehensive experience with Mechanical maintenance, problem-solving and inspection processes.

11. Good knowledge of predictive maintenance methodologies.

12. Knowledge and understanding of different condition monitoring technologies (Condition Monitoring training; Vibration Analysis, Thermography, Oil Analysis, NDT techniques).

13. Monitor equipment wear rates and use this data to optimise PM tasks.

14. Interpretation of engineering drawings.

15. Facilitate Root Cause Failure Analysis as required.  Identify and implement required corrective actions. Complete required documentation.

16. Ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.

3. HV Switching certificate.
