PT Agincourt Resources; Engineer – Mining Technology

The Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR). The mining area covers an area of 30 km² which is under the sixth generation Contract of Work (COW) with a total area of 1,303 km². The Martabe Gold Mine is located on the west side of the island of Sumatra, Batang Toru Sub-district, North Sumatra Province.

The Martabe Gold Mine began full production on 24 July 2012 and has a resource base as of 30 June 2022, of 6.5 million oz of gold and 64 million oz of silver. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is more than 7 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver per year. 

PT Agincourt Resources involves more than 3,000 employees and contractors, around 99% of whom are Indonesian citizens and more than 70% are from local villages.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) holds 95% shares of PT Agincourt Resources. PTDTN is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk. with 60% share ownership and PT Pamapersada Nusantara with 40% share ownership, as well as part of PT Astra International Tbk business group. A total of 5% of PT Agincourt Resources' shares are owned by South Tapanuli District Government and North Sumatra Provincial Government.

To strengthen the existing Mining team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for a candidate to fill the role:

ENGINEER – MINING TECHNOLOGY (MIN 2307056)

This position will be based at Martabe Site in Mining Department and reports directly to Senior Engineer – Continuous Improvement.

The role of the Engineer – Mining Technology is to:

• To ensure Mining Technology solution implemented in Operational Process is operate effectively and deliver tangible value to the Mining Operations such as but not limited to Fleet Management System, In Pit CCTV, IoT System in Operational, etc.

• To provide instruction to contractors or vendors related to Mining Technology implementation.

• To provide advice to internal department or cross department related to effective use and operation of Mining Technology solution.

• To repair, install, configure, commission and troubleshooting electronic, microprocessor-based systems and radio network communication equipment including issues identification and resolution for Mining Technology solution in Mining Site.

• To assist and coordinate with IT Department related to implementation or troubleshooting of Mining Technology Solution.

• To provide report of Mining Technology assets belong to PTAR.

• To maintain safety and environmental aspect of implementation and operation of Mining Technology Solution at Mining Site.

Candidates for this role would be expected to have the following qualifications and experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in IT (Information of Technology) or Electrical Engineering.

2. Have additional certification from Fleet Management System vendor and Network Infrastructure or low voltage electrical is preferable.

3. Minimum have 2 years experience of providing Fleet Management Support.

4. Strong communication skills in English skills both written and spoken.

5. Basic to advance in FMS Technology Platform and installation or maintenance and knowledge of Microsoft and Linux Operating System environment (firmware and software loading and management, troubleshooting, and administration tasks).

6. Basic to advance knowledge of Network Infrastructure and IoT (Internet of Things) and Microcontroller solution.

7. Basic knowledge for low electrical voltage.

8. Keen interest in providing services and support related to Mining Technology implementation.

9. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

10. Good analytical and problem-solving ability.

11. Have actual experience in Fleet Management system company is preferable.

12. Have experience in handling IoT (Internet of Things) solution in Mining Industry is preferable.

13. Have POP certification is preferable.
