Chief Contract Engineer – 6 Months (Contract Administrator)

Gresik Based

 

The purpose of this position is:

Coordinate and prepare production process of medium risk and value contract documents under his responsibility areas to ensure that the documents accommodate all service requirements and minimize risk to the company in compliance with proper business practice, company and/or GOI policies and regulations.

Overseeing the entire lifecycle of contracts, from initiation to closure, while also managing the onboarding process for new contracts. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of contract management principles, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to collaborate across various teams.

 

The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts in collaboration with legal and other relevant departments.

• Monitor contract compliance, milestones, and renewal dates.

• Coordinate with user clients and directly negotiate terms, conditions, rates and company provided support functions with relevant parties (e.g., contractors, end user department, etc.) under responsibility to ensure the satisfactory of end user within determined plan, on schedule, allocated budget, and high quality.

• Prepare contract document and issue selected tender packages for medium value and risk contracts based on required services and guidelines through inviting potential contractors/vendors to solicit for work proposals (tenders) for specific services with regard to required performance and fair value.

• Analyze and assess risk for new incoming contract works assigned by superior to ensure that all incoming contract works can be delivered in a timely manner.

• Perform analysis of tenders for medium value and risk contracts under his responsibility to ensure that upcoming specified services carried out by contractors match the quality requirements and cost constraints attached to the service.

• Analyze medium risk contractors and contracts' necessary requirement under his responsibility to ensure its compliance with government requirements with regard to licenses and tax matters.

• Provide input and recommendation on medium value and risk contractor selection and placement to superior, to obtain the best decision, fair value, and minimize the risk to the company according to the Company policy and procedures.

• Prepare contract recommendation and cost analysis for further reviewed by superior, for medium risk and value contracts under his responsibility to provide well rounded information to senior management prior to execution of a contract.

• Develop, establish, and maintain effective business relationship and communication with key personnel of End-Users and Contractors under scope of responsibility in coordination with Contract Compliance Section to improve quality of service and cost.

• Develop and implement an efficient onboarding process for new contracts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather necessary information for onboarding.

• Coordinate training sessions for relevant teams to ensure understanding of contract terms and obligations.

• Track and report on the progress of contract onboarding activities.

 

Candidate requirements :

Minimum Education & Experience

• Bachelor degree with at least 5 years working experience in mining or metal processing industries or related area.

• Having a good knowledge and background in business analysis, procurement, supply chain management, contract negotiation skills, financial and cost analysis, mining operations, legal and tax matters.

• Proven experience in contract management and onboarding.

• Update with the latest mining and related product/support technology and most recent list of reputable service providers to help and speed up service placement and best contractors’ selection for future projects. This is to meet the requirement if a third party is required to perform the services.

• Estimated total contract value at USD 4,000,000.00 per month.

 

Non-Financial

• Number of total active Contractors: 100.

• Number of total active Contractors: 200.

• Complexity of a contract Medium.

 

Work location and duration

• Working in Gresik office

• Six months of contract
