The Martabe Gold Mine is managed and operated by PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR). The mining area covers an area of 30 km² which is under the sixth generation Contract of Work (COW) with a total area of 1,303 km². The Martabe Gold Mine is located on the west side of the island of Sumatra, Batang Toru Sub-district, North Sumatra Province.

The Martabe Gold Mine began full production on 24 July 2012 and has a resource base as of 30 June 2022, of 6.5 million oz of gold and 64 million oz of silver. The operating capacity of the Martabe Gold Mine is more than 7 million tonnes of ore per year to produce more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver per year. 

PT Agincourt Resources involves more than 3,000 employees and contractors, around 99% of whom are Indonesian citizens and more than 70% are from local villages.

PT Danusa Tambang Nusantara (PTDTN) holds 95% shares of PT Agincourt Resources. PTDTN is a subsidiary of PT United Tractors Tbk. with 60% share ownership and PT Pamapersada Nusantara with 40% share ownership, as well as part of PT Astra International Tbk business group. A total of 5% of PT Agincourt Resources' shares are owned by South Tapanuli District Government and North Sumatra Provincial Government.

To strengthen the existing Supply Chain Management (SCM) team and to ensure the achievement of the department objectives, the Martabe Gold Mine is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the role:

ADMINISTRATOR - CONTRACT

The role will be situated at the Martabe Site within the SCM Department, with direct reporting to the Senior Supervisor - Admin Contract.

The Administrator – Contract is tasked with overseeing all site contracts associated with a comprehensive array of services throughout the entire Martabe operation. These contracts may exhibit considerable variations in terms of scope of work, criticality, value, and risk profile. Regardless of size, complexity, or value, all contracts play a pivotal role in the effective functioning of the Martabe Gold Mine. It is imperative to uphold PTAR ethical standards consistently, with a steadfast commitment to our company and employee code of ethics, confidentiality, and organizational values.

The Administrator – Contract holds the responsibility for orchestrating and overseeing the PTAR Martabe contracting function's activities. This entails ensuring that the commercial facets of all contracting activities across various PTAR user departments align with company standards, policies, procedures, Indonesian Law, and the Martabe Mine Contract of Work. It is paramount to consistently provide a high level of support to user departments throughout the entire contract lifecycle, encompassing bidding, negotiation, preparation, administration, and management. Throughout each stage of the process, maintain an ethical, efficient, risk-managed, consistent, and cost-effective approach.

Applicants for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

1. Preferably possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in overseeing the entire contract process, including drafting, commercial analysis, negotiation with contractors, dispute settlement, tender processes, contractor performance evaluations, and contract closure within a medium to large-scale mining operation or construction company. Fresh graduates with experience working at a mine site are encouraged to apply.

2. Exhibit exceptional communication skills, and adaptability to a dynamic work environment, and demonstrate strong teamwork and analytical capabilities.

3. Capable of managing multiple concurrent tasks, working under pressure with challenging deadlines, and consistently delivering high-quality results.

4. Proficient in computer literacy, with experience in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Should possess a basic understanding of Indonesian Contract Law.

5. Demonstrate strong ethical standards in dealings with suppliers and contractors.

6. Possess excellent time management skills, with a proven ability to determine priority lists.

7. High emotional intelligence, showcasing attributes of a team player who can also work independently with minimal supervision. Uphold good behavior, high integrity, loyalty, eagerness to learn and improve, enthusiasm to accept work-related challenges, and maintain a professional demeanor, not solely focused on job descriptions.

8. Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.

9. Moderate technical knowledge in the contract section.

10. Emphasize teamwork as a key strength.

11. Adhere to the SCM Code of Conduct, demonstrating integrity in all professional interactions.

ENGINEER – QA/QC LAB & EARTHWORK

The role will be situated at the Martabe Site within the MPDS Department, with direct reporting to the Senior Engineer – Geotechnical Project & QA/QC.

The responsibilities of the Engineer – QA/QC Lab & Earthwork role is to assist Senior Engineer -Geotechnical Project & QA/QC related with the various project scope within the function of study/planning, execution and supervision.

Applicants for this position should possess the following qualifications and experience:

1. Possesses a bachelor’s degree in civil/geology engineering with geotechnical background.

2. Certification as a professional engineer (such as IPP/IPM PII, Geotechnical Expert HATTI G0/G1 or equivalent) would be advantageous.

3. Accumulates over 5 years of experience in geotechnical aspect.

4. Familiar with mining, earthwork (gold mining experience is a plus) and QA/QC or soil laboratory work.

5. Understand project,  geotechnical and laboratory management.

6. Understand the governance of design/planning, project execution and supervision.

7. Understand laboratory testing of physical & strength of soil or rock.

8. Familiarity with gold mining waste/tailings management.

9. Possesses proficient English language skills in listening, speaking, and writing.
