PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining and processing within the Martabe Gold Mine. Our operational area is situated in Province of North Sumatra, with overall management functions based in Jakarta.

The Martabe Gold Mine, situated in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, spans 657 hectares per December 2023 and commenced production on July 24, 2012. It boasts an annual capacity exceeding 6 million tonnes of ore, resulting in an annual output of over 200,000 ounces of gold and 1-2 million ounces of silver.

All of the operation activity is governed by a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) in collaboration with the Government of Indonesia, the mining area has evolved from the original 6,560 km2 in 1997 to its present refinement of 130,252 hectares (1,303 km2), encompassing the South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies. As of June 2023, the mineral resources totalled 6.2 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver.

To enhance the capabilities of the current Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) team and to facilitate the fulfillment of departmental goals, Martabe Gold Mine is seeking a qualified individual to assume the position of:

SUPERINTENDENT – SAFETY AND MOBILE EQUIPMENT TRAINING (OHS 2404020)

This position will be based at the Martabe Site within the OH&S Department and will report directly to the Manager – OH&S.

The Superintendent of Safety and Mobile Equipment Training is responsible for managing and coordinating the development and implementation of skills training to ensure compliance and continuous improvement for all site personnel requiring vehicle driving or equipment operation permits. Additionally, this role oversees the design and delivery of all site safety training programs. Specific duties within this role include:

• Overseeing day-to-day responsibilities related to vehicle and equipment permitting, training, and safety training to ensure all key performance indicators (KPIs) and compliance standards are met.

• Researching and experimenting with new processes/systems to enhance training effectiveness.

• Collaborating with departmental and contracting personnel to assess current and future training needs for planning, scheduling, and provision purposes.

• Developing, scheduling, and implementing training and assessment programs for PTAR Site Operating staff.

• Providing ongoing management, monitoring, mentoring, and coaching to the Site Operating Permits Training Supervisor, Site Operating Permits Trainers, and Driver Training personnel to uphold professional training standards.

• Establishing and maintaining working relationships with third-party accredited assessors and training vendors.

• Coordinating on-site training requirements to ensure compliance across the site and organizing the delivery of pre-assessment training.

• Evaluating and analyzing training needs to align with account/program objectives.

• Participating in relevant departmental needs and incorporating learning into training module development.

• Analyzing customer satisfaction reports and quality reports periodically to identify training needs.

• Collaborating closely with Processing, Mining, Operations, HR, and SCM Managers, as well as key personnel authorized to gain permits, to achieve required training and competency targets.

• Taking a lead role in developing appropriate training packages and consistently auditing training procedures within the Safety and Mobile Equipment Training section.

Applicants for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. Possession of a degree or diploma in a relevant discipline such as engineering, safety, training, or management.

2. Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, or a related field; additional post-tertiary studies in a related area are desirable.

3. Minimum of 10 years' experience in the mining industry.

4. Certification as a trainer or facilitator is desirable, along with vocational qualifications in Training and Assessment from a recognized professional body.

5. Demonstrated interest in advancing research in training and development systems.

6. Strong familiarity with competency-based training systems and operational safety issues, coupled with an exemplary personal safety record.

7. Comprehensive knowledge of Equipment Operator Standards.

8. Proficiency in personal computer applications, including Word, Excel, and Access databases, at an advanced level is desirable.
