Automation Engineer

Work Location: Sorowako For National Recruitment

Purpose of the Role

Conducting automation technical supports, automation studies, and automation projects across Energy-Logistic & Mining department to solve problems, to sustain performance, or to realize optimization improvement initiatives and to execute an automation project in safe, time-efficient, cost- efficient, workforce-effective, target-oriented, and quality-oriented manners.

Accountabilities:

1. Conduct automation technical supports, across PT Vale Indonesia (PTVI) Operational area department to solve problems, to help operation, maintenance and project team to collect technical data for designing or improvement plan, to support maintenance and operation during commissioning and startup plant and conduct simple automation project with time-efficient, cost-efficient, workforce- effective, target-oriented, and quality-oriented manners.

2. Act as project automation design engineer for simple automation projects to execute these automation projects (Field Instrument, PLC & HMI Programming and Field network configuration) with referring to PTVI project delivery system.

3. Involved in project/task during project execution phase (construction, commissioning and startup). And to ensure all of activities in project execution phase are executed as standard procedure.

4. Involved in process safety assessment required by project/task such as Risk Asessment, HAZOP, JSA, SWP, HIRA, LOPA and etc.

5. Update PTVI Automation documents to keep those documentations up-to-date, and Execute Vale Global Automation standards implementation on PTVI Automation standards to realize the results of colaboration with Vale Global Automation Team.

6. Do data collection for analysing problem or event happening and for document preparation in designing and improvement plan.

7. Execute automation section’s annual safety program in his / her work to prevent incident / accident from happening and to achieve compliance with safety effectiveness / improvement program of Process Plant Department.

8. Execute automation section’s annual personnel development program assigned to him / her to achieve automation personnel competencies and to support career and succession plans and to keep personal automation technical expertise up-to-date to be able to technically perform his / her works and to be able to properly give the automation technical support for Process Plant management.

9. Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree majoring in Electrical Engineer – Control System

• Minimum 4 years of experience in Automation/Control System field.

• Having experience in programming (advance) with PLC controllers (AB System, PLC Siemens System) and HMI – FactoryTalk View (mandatory)

• Understanding of automation functional description dan control system internasional standart (ISA, ANSI).

• Understanding of P&ID System, Field Instrument Device, Sizing Device Methodolgy, Control System & Field Device Network.

• Comprehensive knowledge of Automation Control Network and Automation Sysmet Conceptual Design.

• Preferably with comprehensive knowledge of Automatin Server.

• Preferably member of Profesi Insinyur Indonesia (PII).

• Preferably have experience or knowledge in the Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Management System (SMK3L).
