The Martabe Gold Mine, located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, operates across 646.08 hectares as of December 2024. Since production began on 24 July 2012, the mine has processed over 6 million tonnes of ore annually, producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1–2 million ounces of silver annually.
The Martabe Gold Mine operates under a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) with the Indonesian Government. Initially spanning 6,560 km² in 1997, the concession area has been refined to 130,252 hectares (1,303 km²), encompassing South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies.
As of June 2024, the mine’s mineral resources were estimated at 6.1 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver, while ore reserves were calculated at 3.2 million ounces of gold and 32 million ounces of silver.

OPERATOR - MOBILE CRANE (CLASS 1) (PRO 2509043)
This position is located at the Martabe Gold Mine Site within the Processing Maintenance Department and reports directly to the Supervisor Material Handling.
The Operator – Mobile Crane (Class 1) is responsible for operating mobile cranes with a capacity greater than 100 tons and providing hands-on support to the Supervisor – Material Handling. The role ensures all lifting and transport activities carried out by the Material Handling team are executed in a professional, safe, timely, and cost-effective manner, while prioritizing the operational needs of the Process Plant and related mechanical equipment, infrastructure, and apparatus. Success in this role requires close collaboration with peers across Mechanical, Workshop, Electrical & Instrumentation, Process and Metallurgical teams, as well as with Maintenance Planning and Supply & Logistics.
Applicants for this position are required to fulfill the following qualifications and criteria:
1. Minimum Senior High School or Technical School graduate, preferably a Polytechnic graduate.
2. Hold a valid Crane Operating License (Kelas 1) and Rigging certification.
3. Possess a valid and recognized Heavy Equipment (HE) Driver’s License.
4. Minimum of 3 years’ experience operating mobile cranes with capacities ranging from 100 – 300 tons.
5. Previous experience in mining, oil & gas, or other heavy industrial environments in a similar role.
6. Proficient in developing and approving lift plans for mobile cranes up to 300-ton capacity.
7. Skilled in interpreting mobile crane operation and maintenance manuals.
8. In-depth understanding of occupational hazards in the mineral processing industry.
9. Comprehensive knowledge of safe lifting techniques and acceptable lifting devices, apparatus, and attachments.
10. Ability to conduct routine inspections and maintenance of lifting equipment (e.g., chains, slings, shackles, spreaders, hooks, blocks, clamps, tie-downs, lever hoists, chain blocks).
11. Ability to accurately follow and execute both written and verbal instructions.
12. Capable of demonstrating safe working procedures to subordinates.
13. Competence in estimating labor, materials, and equipment requirements for tasks and projects.
14. Strong reporting and record-keeping skills, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
