The Indonesian Gas Association (IGA) has called on the government to revise the existing gas price structure by creating a common gas tariff for various industries in a bid to attract more investment in the domestic gas sector.
IGA chairman John Karamoy said on Monday that the association would design a gas price formula that could be considered by the government.
He said that the current gas price structure was not attractive to investors because of different prices for different industries.
He pointed out as example that gas-selling price for the national fertilizer industry was different to the electricity sector.
He said that price certainty was important to attract more investors to enter the national gas sector. (*)
