J Resources to start production of Bakan and Doup in 2013

IDX-listed gold miner PT J-Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk has stated it expects to start production of gold from Bakan and Doup gold projects in North Sulawesi in the second and third quarter of 2013, respectively.
J-Resources Chief Operating Officer Colin Davies stated that the company expects to produce 61,000 oz of gold per annum from Bakan, which total reserve is estimated at 265,000 ounces, targeting to produce 109,000 oz of gold per annum from Doup with the first stage of commissioning expected to start in the first quarter of 2013 and second stage of commissioning in the third quarter of 2013. The Doup project is estimated to have about 1,394,000 oz of gold resource.
In addition to the two projects, J-Resources also operates Penjom gold project in Malaysia, Seruyung gold project in East Kalimantan and North Lanut project in North Sulawesi.
