NYK concludes long-term contract with Castle Peak Power

Japanese shipping firm NYK Line announced on Friday a contract signing to transport thermal coal mainly from Indonesia to Hong Kong for Castle Peak Power Co. Ltd. (CAPCO)
Under the contract NYK will transport coal by two bulk carriers for a period of up to eight years starting in April 2010.
NYK has been transporting steaming coal for CAPCO since the 1981 opening of CAPCO?s first power station.
Castle Peak Power Co. Ltd: A joint venture between ExxonMobil Energy Ltd. (60%) and CLP Power Hong Kong Ltd. (40%) which operates power plant in Hong Kong. (alex).
