PETRONAS LNG Ltd., a subsidiary of Malaysia’s state-owned PETRONAS, has signed a significant 20-year Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Sale and Purchase Agreement (SPA) with Commonwealth LNG, LLC. The deal marks a major step in PETRONAS' strategy to diversify its LNG portfolio by securing long-term supplies from the United States.

Under the agreement, PETRONAS will purchase one million tonnes per annum (MTPA) of LNG from Commonwealth LNG's 9.5 MTPA facility currently being developed in Cameron, Louisiana. The agreement solidifies a long-term partnership and is set to play a key role in securing a reliable LNG supply for PETRONAS customers.
