UT?s unit sold 2.58 MT of coal until December

Listed heavy equipment firm PT United Tractors (UT) said on Friday its South Kalimantan coal miner PT Dasa Eka Jasatama sold a total of 2,584,000 tonnes of coal in twelve month period until December this year, up from 2,398,000 tonnes in the same period of last year.
UT has also subsidiries involved in providing mining contracting service and selling heavy equipment.
Meanwhile, its mining contractor subsidiary, PT Pamapersada, produced a total of 77.8 million tonnes of coal in the January-December 2010 period, up from 68.0 million tonnes in the same period of last year. Its overburden production rose to 650.9 million bcm, from 597.9 million bcm.
The firm sold a total of 5,404 units of Komatsu heavy equipment in the first twelve months of the year, up from 3,111 units in the same period of last year. (kanti)
