1. POSITION: Process Engineer (2 Position)

Department/Project: Offshore Engineering (Process)/NFPS EPCO Project

Education: University Graduate from related Technical Academy

Working Experiences: More than 8 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status: Temporary / Contract (12 months)

Work location : Jakarta


•Process Engineers – Graduated from Chemical Engineering

•Has 8 – 15 years of experiences in Oil & Gas Process Design Engineering in an EPC Company 

•Experiences in Offshore & upstream plant detailed design is mandatory


•Process Engineer in NFPS EPCO Project

•To be involved in the document preparation by the client, including all process drawings, calculation reports, and data sheet

2. POSITION: Piping Material Engineer

Department/Project: Offshore Engineering (Piping)

Education: University Graduate on Technical Major

Seniority: Expert & Senior Engineer

Working Experiences: More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status: Temporary / Contract

Work location : Jakarta


1. Diploma (with extensive similar experiences) or University graduate degree in appropriate engineering subject (mechanical / naval / material / metallurgy / chemical or related).

2. Diploma in appropriate engineering subject (Mechanical, Material, Metallurgical)

3. Knowledge of Discipline engineering design criteria,methods and workflows from conceptual phase up to site engineering phase. Capability to define the technical documents set based on Project quantities and scope of work. Capability to perform and coordinate Project engineering documents production activities and to check and review design documents, prepared either internally or by Vendors

4. Knowledge of workflows and methods to define project quantities,

5. Knowledge of main international Discipline standards, codes and regulations. Capability to analyze dedicated Project requirements in terms of local standards and codes and to identify proper implementation actions.When required by the role, ability to manage the resolution of Engineering Non Conformity (NCR) at site supporting Construction and / or Fabrication activities effectively interfacing project Team, Client and Vendor.

6. Knowledge of industrial manufacturing processes for Oil and Gas components and management of workflows

7. Knowledge of process engineering design. Understanding process documents as applicable including process descriptions, process data sheets, PFD, P and ID.

8. Capability to design and coordinate P&IDs for related systems. Full knowledge of Discipline workflow and of Discipline mechanization procedures and criteria. Full knowledge of Discipline P&IDs mechanization battery limits,

9. Knowledge of Piping/Electrical/Instrumental/structural basic terminology and rules,

10. Knowledge of piping materials (pipes, fitting, flanges, steel profiles, etc.) and consumables (welding roads, gas, etc.) Knowledge of the different materials to be welded for piping and structural steel, such as carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex, Inconel, galvanized, etc. Knowledge of welding and NDT techniques, procedures (e.g., WPS, PQR) and equipment.

11. Capability to prepare the documentation necessary for the Tender (Purchase Requisition, Technical Specification, Price List). Capability to perform Technical Bid Evaluation. Capability to find the best technical and economic strategy for the execution of transports.

12. Knowledge of the principles of metallurgy and materials science. Knowledge of the main metallic (and non-metallic) materials used in the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas sectors, their chemical, physical and mechanical properties, their applicability, limitations and costs and other relevant features e.g., market availability, shop and field fabrication, joining methods, etc. Knowledge of manufacturing processes of products used in the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas sectors in different materials, such as: steel making, hot and cold forming (e.g., rolling, forging, drawing, extrusion, casting, etc.), heat treatment, welding and finishing operations and their influence on final mechanical and corrosion resistance properties. Ability to draft Product Specifications for components used in the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas sectors, such as line pipes, hot induction bends, flanges and fittings, forgings, etc. and knowledge of impacts of products properties on SAIPEM processes and technologies. Knowledge of materials suppliers in the upstream and downstream Oil and Gas sectors, their capabilities, and limitations. Ability to review suppliers' offers, perform technical alignments and evaluations, and participate to technical meetings. Knowledge of materials destructive and non-destructive test methods used during products manufacturing, their applicability, and limitations. Knowledge of the main applicable Industry materials International standards and codes (such as ASME, API, ASTM, ISO, DNVGL, etc.) and ability to analyze Clients Specifications and standards.

13. Communicate in a simple, clear, and assertive way. Adapt own approach to different audiences to have a positive impact and to gain support for own plans.

14. Available and ready to be relocate to other Saipem Center all over the world (e.g., Middle east)


1. Be responsible for the quality, respect of budget and respect of project schedule for piping material tasks

2. Review the Client technical documentation and requirements

3. Be responsible for the design of all piping components

4. Issue project piping material specification and piping components data sheets

5. Perform wall thickness calculations of pipes

6. Issue technical specification for requisition of all piping components

7. Issue technical bid evaluation for piping components offers

8. Review and approve vendors document

9. Maintain project technical files and update Company standards

10. Perform the inter-disciplines checking for the part of documents in accordance with the scope of piping material section

11. Check documents issued by piping material engineers

12. Check the issued MTO validate by lead

13. Be responsible for the establishment of the PMMS (Piping Material Management System) data base

14. Assist inspection department

15. Prepare mechanical valve specification for body

16. Inform on a permanent basis the Project Piping and Layout leader of any foreseen technical or financial or delay risk

17. Issue the part of the REX in accordance with the scope of piping material section after contract completion

18. Evaluate Piping Material cost

19. Provide input to discipline leads ad material engineer to harmonize design and methodologies

20. Feed the Piping and Layout Department improvement system by reverting the lessons learned during the project.
