We are seeking for best candidates to fill the vacant position:

Coating, Painting QC Inspector (NACE LEVEL 3)

Department/Project : TEP ONSHORE Project

Education   : University Graduate on Technical Major

Working Experiences : More than 5 years in similar position or similar field

Working Status  : Temporary / Contract

Work location   : Papua

REQUIRED WORKING SKILLS/QUALIFICATION/SERTIFICATION

• Having minimum certification NACE Level 3/BGAS Grade 3/SSPC Level 3

• Understand the inspection and Quality Control activities on site, collecting the relevant records

• Having Knowledge of anticorrosion and pipe weight coating techniques.

Ability to apply the appropriate anticorrosion technique and to select the correct equipment and consumables.

• Having Knowledge of painting techniques and ability to select the most suitable system depending on the design and the operative conditions of the project. Capability to apply painting techniques.

General knowledge of main subcontractors for painting services and suppliers of painting materials used by SAIPEM.

• Having Knowledge and capability to perform coating/painting inspections and tests on field joint coating according to International standards (BGAS CSWIP Site Coating Inspector, or approved equivalent)

BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS

• In accordance with the Quality Control Plan, execute the specific inspections on material, equipment and construction/installation activities on site, following relevant specified procedures, issuing the relevant Quality Records

• Verify/control the correct storage and certification of material and instrumentation calibration certificates

• Witness/perform qualifications of coating processes

Check surface preparation

• Check and record atmospheric conditions prior to starting of painting operations

• Carry out wet and dry film thickness checks

• Monitor observations of the correct coding cycles

• Verify the correct color-coding and painting

• Perform visuals inspections

• Perform adhesion testing

• Perform penetration testing

• Evaluate impact testing

• Perform visual checks after blasting

• Orderly collect and manage/check documents certifying test, controls and inspection documents, ensuring that all mechanical and testing related records are properly retrievable within the final As- Built dossier

In Case of subcontractor activities, ensure the correct implementation of the approved Quality Control Plans/ Inspection Test Plans, witnessing inspection and collecting relevant Quality Control records
