We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:

EOI Project Manager (928039 & 928038)

(Melak & Sangatta)

 In this role, you will:

• Take abroad view of organizational capability, assess the needs of the business and take action to meet long term capability needs

• Make decisions and commit resources to build future Thiess capability, may trade-off immediate standards of performance for the purpose of long term development

• Empower teams to work cross functionally to ensure that the benefits of potential synergies are realized

• Maintain a clear picture if the key risks in the working area and the critical controls to manage these risks

• Ensure adequate HSE and technical resources and training are available

• Explain HSE expectations to direct reports and ensure they understand and deliver to their HSE accountabilities

• Establish and maintain a harmonious client relationship to assist project delivery and enhance client satisfaction

• Manage relationship to subcontractors to ensure a high level of performance in terms of time, cost & quality

• Set a growth/profit strategy outside the normal paradigm to achieve significant business/project results

• Plan, direct & control the flow of work for a mining project including estimating time, budget, reporting & mining schedules

• Direct, monitor & utilize company's equipment efficiently

• Direct, submit and negotiate claims to settlements as required to ensure that progress claims are submitted and paid in a timely manner

• Establish to maintain and manage all stakeholders’ interests to ensure harmonious and cooperative relationships in industrial relations, community relations and staff welfare in all aspects of the project. No disruption to project from local community

What skills and experience do you need?

• Graduate from Bachelor degree in Engineering / Mining or similar discipline.

• Minimum of 12 years previous experience in construction & Engineering / Mining (Coals)

• Comprehensive knowledge of engineering and construction / mining management principles and practices.

• Have experience in Client relations

• Have a good understanding of Subcontract management & project management

• Certified in POP, POM, POU

Technical Training Developer (928002)

(Balikpapan)

 In this role, you will:

• Analyse and interpret national training standards from across Thiess' operational jurisdictions

• Harvest information on training and assessment practices across Thiess operations and ensure best practice is captured within training and assessment document

• Assist projects in understanding the application of Thiess Certified Training and assessment materials

• Contribute to the development of online and classroom curriculum, training and assessment materials

• Maintain and update training and assessment materials in Thiess Learning Management System (LAAMP)

• Provide advice on instructional/learning and curriculum improvements

• Review training and assessment materials and make recommendations for improvements for approval by the global moderation team

• Maintain and provide advice and guidance on the layout of the master document storage system

• Maintain change management spreadsheets for training resources (change history)

• Establish and maintain minutes of moderation team meetings Establish and maintain a project schedule spreadsheet

• Develop and maintain an operational training resources improvement register

• Participate in the performance management process using the PE@T process including the creation of information performance notes in the Trakstar system

• Interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to determine training and assessment requirements and content advice

• Provide guidance to the Moderation group on the technical training process and content

• Engage with HSE and operational efficiency teams across Thiess to ensure Thiess Certified Training and assessment materials are aligned with the business

What skills and experience do you need?

• Minimum graduated from Certificate IV qualification in Training and Assessment or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience within the mining and/or construction industry as technical or trainer background in Mining, Plant, Safety, or other technical skills

• Experience in training and delivery and assessment processes, mining experience is an advantage

• Experience in designing, reviewing and developing training and assessment resources

• Advanced computer literacy required, including intermediate to advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite

• Strong verbal, interpersonal and written English communication skills

• The ability to research regional legislations that applies within the mining and training industry

Specialist Purchasing (927756)

(Balikpapan)

 In this role, you will:

• Be responsible for purchasing of goods according to the needs of projects base on the user’s requirement and as per specified lead time.

• Be responsible for ordering process for all Thiess Australian Mining Sites start from RFQ, OR, approval, generating and release PO to Suppliers.

• Implement procurement standard as per TAM Purchasing SOP and Thiess Procurement policy.

• JDE Housekeeping (No outstanding open OR and No outstanding unmatched Invoices).

• APWF - Process and close all invoice monthly based on monthly target

What skills and experience do you need?

• Associate’s Degree of any major with minimum of 5-year experience in similar role

• Good Communication in English skill (writing & speaking)

• Good understanding in Global Purchasing Process.

• On-time Delivery of Work (Ordering Lead Time performance).

• Spare Parts & Components of Heavy Equipment knowledge.

• Familiar with MS Office & ERP Knowledge / Oracle JDE

• JDE Procurement module

• Cost analysis and evaluation
