We are seeking experienced people for the following positions:
EOI Senior Engineer Dewatering (928796)
(Jakarta)
In this role you will:
• Ensure dewatering activities are in accordance with the plans and targets set by managing pump equipment including the dewatering sub-contractor, as well as coordinating the placement and operation of pumps and water management will be running safely, effectively, and efficiently with due observance of these factors, work safety and environment.
• Explain and conduct analysis for improvement and refinement of procedures, standards related to dewatering activities.
• Recognize the scope of dewatering activities as well as the types, functions and parameters of equipment for mine dewatering work.
• Implement a control system and control dewatering activities according to work plans / targets.
• Provide dewatering equipment requirement plan to the technical services and mining department for dewatering requirement activities.
• Develop the right program on an ongoing basis to solve problems in dewatering activities to support the achievement of production targets, included but not limited to housekeeping of surface drainage and dams.
• Analyse the selection of the type, capacity and number of dewatering equipment that is adjusted to changes in mine planning and progress
• Conduct a thorough evaluation of dewatering activities & establish good relationships with dewatering vendors.
• Ensure compliance to the regulation and mine safety standard and procedures and record all specified inspections required by the Indonesia regulation and Thiess procedure
• Liaise with engineering for the maintenance of dewatering equipment and arrange with mining for the digging of pipe crossings, trenches, sumps and drilling of holes to dewater working areas.
• Monitor and advise on the ordering and procurement of dewatering equipment such as pipes, clamps, bots and nuts, pumps and all associated ancillaries and manage necessary stock levels.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Min. bachelor’s degree in Mining, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Have minimum 3-5 years of experience in the same position, at reputable mining companies.
• Have experience supervising a dewatering/ pumping team is an advantage.
• Understand the operational dewatering pump and its installation process.
• Willing to travel to all Thiess Indonesia projects as required.
• Has government certification of POP (Pratama Competency Test);
• Good analytical, responsible, and quick adaptable into new environment
Superintendent Plant Engineering (928887)
(Balikpapan)
In this role you will:
• Identify operational factors that can impact equipment MTBF.
• Identify opportunities to improve the quality and efficiency of maintenance work through enhanced reliability programs.
• Continually liaise with suppliers and OEM’s to identify improvement opportunities.
• Communicate innovations and improvements to key stakeholders in relation to reliability programs.
• Monitor diagnostic and condition monitoring activities when needed to improve equipment MTBF.
• Liaise with the Plant & Asset Lead – Planning Support to monitor, review, and update Fleet Planning Processes.
• Support Planning Processes implemented by the Plant & Asset Planning Team.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Trade qualification / engineering degree or equivalent qualifications and experience
• Experience with mobile plant maintenance operations with large mining equipment
• Experience in scheduling and planning maintenance activities for large mining equipment
• Experience in Maintenance Warehousing and Inventory management processes
• Experience supervising crews in maintenance environment is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office
• Competent in the use of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (e.g. JDE).
• Knowledge of contract management, including subcontractors.
• Highly Effective communication skills.
Specialist Technical Training Developer (928751)
(Balikpapan)
In this role you will:
• Analyse and interpret national training standards from across Thiess' operational jurisdictions
• Harvest information on training and assessment practices across Thiess operations, ensuring the capture of best practices within training and assessment documents.
• Assist projects in understanding the application of Thiess Certified Training and assessment materials.
• Contribute to the development of online training, and assessment materials.
• Maintain and update training and assessment materials in Thiess Learning Management System (LAAMP).
• Provide advice on instructional/learning and curriculum improvements.
• Review training and assessment materials, making recommendations for improvements to be approved by the global moderation team.
• Maintain and provide guidance on the layout of the expert document storage system.
• Maintain change management spreadsheets for training resources, keeping a comprehensive change history.
• Maintain and update training materials to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Validate the training materials through regular reviews and assessments to align with the latest standards and best practices.
• Establish and maintain minutes of moderation team meetings.
• Develop and maintain training resources improvement register.
• Participate in the performance management process, including the creation of information performance notes.
• Develop eLearning materials and courses to support training objectives.
• Apply instructional design principles to create effective and engaging learning experiences.
• Digitise learning content for accessibility through online platforms and learning management systems.
• Create technical videos to enhance training and instructional materials.
• Design and maintain SharePoint websites (Learning Portal) for sharing training resources and materials.
• Provide cross-regional support by adapting training materials for different regions.
• Interface with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders to determine training and assessment requirements and provide content advice.
• Guide the Moderation group on the technical training process and content.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Minimum graduated from Certificate IV qualification in Training and Assessment or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical training development or a related role.
• Proficiency in instructional design principles and technical skills and knowledge
• Proficiency in tools such as MS Office Suite, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Premier Pro, Adobe After Effects, etc., is highly valuable.
• Strong verbal, interpersonal, and written English communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with subject matter experts (SMEs), trainers, and employees across various departments.
• Ability to analyse training needs, evaluate training effectiveness, and make data-driven decisions for improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple training materials projects, meet deadlines, and prioritise tasks effectively
EOI - Engineer Fleet Management System (928891)
(Jakarta)
In this role you will:
• Manage all fleets in all sites through Optimizer and intervene if manual optimization required
• Monitor trucks distribution and optimize the productivity and utilization of the equipment's
• Coordinate with project about fleet distribution and performance:
• Monitor hanging and queuing time and investigate equipment with suboptimal time
• Coordinate shift change, meal break, and refuel in all regions and panels
• Manage support fleet (grader, dozer, support trucks, etc.)
• Manage road maintenance tasks and assign available equipment accordingly
• Manage support equipment allocations as usage in alignment with procedure
• Coordinate rain clean-up efforts (roads and loading points)
• Monitor material compliance / grade compliance
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelors in all engineering, statistics, and mathematics
• More than 3 years experiences in Fleet Management System (FMS), Mining Operation, Mine Planning, Cost Control/Commercial
• Good understanding on Fleet management system (Hexagon or Wenco), new mining technology, mining operation, mine planning, reporting and cost control, and data analysis
• Has project management, FMS network and hardware installation capabilities
• Good understanding on coal mining or other mineral mining operation
• Good leadership and English communication skill

EOI - Engineer Operations Technology (928892)

In this role you will:
• Provide operation performance analysis, recommendation, or guidance to solve and prioritize action plan and problem solving (senior supervisor, senior engineer, foreman, leading hand)
• Provide performance of accuracy of measurements, calculations, and data integrity level in any aspects especially of Dispatcher mining systems
• Undertake daily management of mine production information and reporting systems
• Maintain and update Fleet Management System based on mining progress
• Dispatch, monitor and supervise production activities an effective Fleet Management System and coordination with project operation to achieve and improve production and productivity target
• Be responsible for effective deployment of mining resources to safely and effectively execute mine plans within set production and safety targets, understanding the daily, weekly and monthly production targets
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelors in engineering, statistics, and mathematics
• 3-5 years experiences in Fleet Management System (FMS)
