Electrorefinery Mentor

(1 year contract - Gresik based)

Looking for an experienced Electrorefinery Mentor for the Readiness phase, Pre-Comm phase, Commissioning phase, and Operations phase of a smelter facility

Responsibilities include guiding operations team, ensuring safety, and optimizing processes. Background in metallurgy or chemical engineering required.

Readiness Phase

• Promote safety and environmental awareness among ER operations, contractors, and employees to ensure compliance with company standards.

• Provide guidance and technical advice to Superintendent and Manager for effective ER process management and operations, ensuring optimal plant availability, minimal unscheduled shutdowns, and compliance with all works at specified cost, quality, and time to meet Freeport Smelter's targets.

• Direct support to department Superintendent and Manager and evaluate the ER operation, maximizing production and efficiency to create value for the company.

• Respond to needs of department Superintendent and Manager and provide technical support as required towards continuous improvement program in ER process and operations.

• Review Systems Operating Procedures (SOP) and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in order to provide standardized guidelines for him/her in the ER process and operations team.

• Evaluate and develop ER Department procedures, indirect contact to contractor.

During Pre - Comm / Commissioning / Operations

• Review and control ER process and operations.

• Indirectly oversee master list of chemicals and materials for preparation, maintenance, and updates.

• Recommend process/equipment improvements to enhance ER and Processing performance.

• Prepare and review accurate and timely ER reports.

• Support Superintendent and Manager in contractor operations and maintenance control.

• Ensure ER process adheres to Design Basis.

• Develop and maintain corrective action program for efficient ER operations.

• Evaluate and advise job training and environmental/safety procedures.

• Liaise across departments for job execution in challenging environments.

• Demonstrate motivational and leadership skills for cross-departmental teamwork.

• Assist Superintendent and Manager in planning, organizing, and controlling ER activities for target achievement.

Working hours

• 5 days, 2 days off

Requirements

• Over 10 years Professional Metallurgist/Chemical Engineer

• Expertise in copper electrorefining (ER) process and real plant operation.

• Experience in Customer Success Specialist, Working with people, technical management in applications and strategy in Individual and or teamwork oriented, continuous Improvement. client relation, problem solving provider attitude.
