Position: Corrosion Engineer

Location: Jakarta, Indonesia

Employment Type: Contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Corrosion Engineer to support detailed engineering design activities for offshore oil and gas platforms and pipeline systems. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in corrosion control strategies and engineering design within the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement corrosion mitigation strategies for offshore platforms and pipeline systems

• Conduct corrosion risk assessments and material selection based on project specifications

• Prepare and review technical documentation, including corrosion control design reports and specifications

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure corrosion engineering is integrated into overall project design

• Support procurement and construction phases with technical guidance on corrosion-related issues

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and client requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field

• Minimum 10 years of experience in corrosion engineering within oil and gas offshore projects

• Strong knowledge of pipeline corrosion mechanisms, coatings, cathodic protection, and material selection

• Familiarity with international standards such as NACE, DNV, API, and ISO

• Excellent communication and technical writing skills
