PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining, and processing at the Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra. PTAR is headquartered in Jakarta and employs over 3,000 workers as of 2024, with more than 99% being Indonesian citizens and over 70% recruited locally. The Martabe Gold Mine, located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, operates across 646.08 hectares as of December 2024. Since production began on 24 July 2012, the mine has processed over 6 million tonnes of ore annually, producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1–2 million ounces of silver annually.

The Martabe Gold Mine operates under a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) with the Indonesian Government. Initially spanning 6,560 km² in 1997, the concession area has been refined to 130,252 hectares (1,303 km²), encompassing South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies.

As of June 2024, the mine’s mineral resources were estimated at 6.1 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver, while ore reserves were calculated at 3.2 million ounces of gold and 32 million ounces of silver.

The Martabe Project Development Study and Execution (MPDSE) Department of PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) invites qualified internal employees to apply for the following role:

 

SUPERVISOR – SHET (MPDSE 2511061)

This position is located at the Martabe Site within the MPDSE Department and reports directly to the Superintendent – Project Safety, Health, Environment and Training (SHET).

Supervisor – SHET role is responsible for supporting and ensuring safety standards, enabling the successful completion of projects without incidents related to safety, health, or the environment. This includes effective communication with teams within the MPDSE section and across other departments of PTAR to ensure smooth and safe project execution. The Supervisor will coordinate with the contractor's safety team to guarantee safe operations and environmental compliance. Additionally, the role involves organizing training schedules and ensuring that all scheduled training sessions are attended by the MPDSE team.

Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. Minimum of senior high school or a bachelor’s degree in health and safety or a related field is preferred.

2. At least 5 years of experience in the mining industry in a SHET role.

3. Proficient in understanding and implementing SMKP (Safety Management and Control Procedures).

4. Demonstrated expertise in the field of Health and Safety.

5. In-depth knowledge of the Mine Safety Act and related regulations.

6. Strong understanding of incident investigation techniques to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.

7. Excellent interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to work effectively within teams and contribute to a positive work environment.

8. Display enthusiasm and self-motivation, with the ability to achieve work objectives with minimal supervision.

9. Capable of obtaining an Indonesian Driver’s License.

10. Proficient in personal computer applications, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

11. Effective communication skills with superiors, colleagues, and subordinates.
