Petrochina International Jabung Ltd., an International Oil & Gas Exploration and Production Company has the following position open for immediate engagement:

I. Process Engineer

Work Location: Jabung Field

Job Responsibilities:

- Provide process engineering technical support to operations and maintenance activities to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance.

- Provide daily operational support through monitoring, analysis, and optimization of process operating conditions, troubleshooting process upsets, and recommending corrective actions to improve production efficiency, plant performance, and facility reliability.

- Perform heat and mass balance calculations, process performance evaluations, and process simulations to support process optimization, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall plant performance, particularly for brownfield projects, minor facility modifications, and production enhancement initiatives.

- Prepare, review, and maintain process engineering documentation, including PFDs, P&IDs, process datasheets, operating procedures, and engineering standards, ensuring compliance with design requirements, operational needs, and management of change (MOC) processes.

- Assess and optimize the performance of process equipment and production facilities, including separators, compressors, pumps, heat exchangers, chillers, glycol and amine systems, NGL recovery units, JT plants, and related process systems, to maximize production, improve efficiency, and enhance plant reliability.

- Participate in Process Safety Management (PSM) activities, including HAZOP, Management of Change (MOC), Risk Assessments, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA), to ensure compliance with Company and industry safety standards.

- Support shutdown/turnaround activities, utility optimization programs, production improvement initiatives, and asset integrity management efforts.

- Promote HSE awareness and ensure compliance with Indonesian laws and regulations, Indonesian and/or international oil & gas industry standards, as well as Company HSE requirements.

- Perform all other duties as may be required by the business needs.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Chemical Engineering from a reputable university

- 3-5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in the oil and gas industry, preference similar experience at Oil and Gas Company (K3S)

- Strong understanding of process operations, process troubleshooting, optimization techniques, and equipment performance assessment. Experienced working for an engineering design, consulting, or EPC company will be an added advantage

- Proficient in process simulation software (Aspen HYSYS, UniSim, or equivalent).

- Proficient in hydraulic simulation software (Pipesim, or equivalent)

- Familiar with PFDs, P&IDs, and process engineering documentation.

- Experience in HAZOP, HAZID, MOC, PSM, and risk assessment.

- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
