Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated, analytical, and results-driven Senior Production Engineer to join our Production Team. The successful candidate will be working across the Tungkal PSC, West Salawati PSC, and Bulu PSC, taking ownership of production performance by driving well surveillance, production optimization, artificial lift optimization, production forecasting, and well intervention planning to maximize production, operational reliability, and long-term asset value.
As a key technical leader within the organization, the Senior Production Engineer is expected to drive continuous performance improvement, make sound engineering decisions, lead production optimization initiatives, and deliver measurable production results through effective collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
Production Performance Ownership & Well Optimization
• Own production performance for assigned fields, ensuring production targets are achieved through effective well surveillance, production optimization, artificial lift optimization, and well intervention planning.
• Identify production losses, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions to restore and maximize well productivity.
• Drive continuous production optimization initiatives through analysis of production data, well performance trends, and operational constraints.
• Own and continuously improve production surveillance systems, dashboards, performance databases, and artificial lift performance tracking to support timely operational and strategic decision-making.
Production Engineering Leadership & Accountability
• Own the accuracy and integrity of daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual production, lifting, inventory, and regulatory reporting.
• Develop production forecasts and lifting nominations, ensuring alignment with reservoir performance, operational capabilities, and business objectives.
• Provide technical leadership in production engineering matters and deliver recommendations that improve field performance, operational efficiency, and asset value.
• Represent the Production Engineering function in technical discussions with partners, service providers, and regulatory authorities, providing technical recommendations and engineering decisions.
Field Development, Operations & Project Leadership
• Lead Production Engineering input into drilling, completion, workover, recompletion, stimulation, artificial lift, and idle well reactivation programs, ensuring designs maximize long-term production performance and economic value.
• Own production optimization strategies throughout the well lifecycle by evaluating and implementing appropriate production enhancement technologies.
• Provide technical leadership during field execution activities, ensuring production engineering objectives are achieved while maintaining operational integrity and HSE compliance.
• Lead flow assurance and production system optimization initiatives to improve production reliability and minimize operational downtime.
Asset Performance & Cross-Functional Leadership
• Own production forecasts, operational loss management, and production performance improvement plans for assigned assets.
• Drive multidisciplinary collaboration with Reservoir Engineering, Drilling & Completion, Operations, HSE, Commercial, and Finance to achieve production and business objectives.
• Be accountable for identifying opportunities to increase production, improve operational efficiency, reduce deferment, and maximize asset value through sound engineering judgment and data-driven decision-making.
• Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior Production Engineers and Operations personnel to strengthen technical capability within the organization.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5 - 10 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry.
• Strong understanding of production engineering principles and well performance optimization.
• Experience with artificial lift design and selection.
• Familiarity with drilling, completion, and production facility operations.
• Knowledge of project management systems, HSE standards, and Migas regulations.
• Experience participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and PHA processes is preferred.
• Experience with PETEX Suite, Kappa, Petrel, or other petroleum engineering software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• AI, automation, or coding experience will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and under tight deadlines.

Production Supervisor (Gas Field)

We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor (Gas Field) to lead daily gas production operations while ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable production in compliance with company standards and HSE regulations.
The successful candidate will play a key role in achieving production targets, optimizing field performance, and supervising field operations.
Role and responsibilities:
• Supervise daily gas production operations to achieve production targets safely and efficiently.
• Monitor production facilities, wells, separators, compressors, and gas dehydration systems.
• Ensure compliance with Company HSE policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
• Analyze production performance and recommend operational improvements.
• Coordinate production activities with Maintenance, Engineering, HSE, and other supporting functions.
• Troubleshoot production upsets and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor well performance and optimize gas production.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
• Lead and supervise field operators during shift operations.
• Ensure operational readiness during start-up, shutdown, and emergency situations.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in natural gas production operations.
• Strong understanding of:
o Gas production process
o Separator operation
o Gas compressors
o Gas dehydration system
o Gas metering system
o Well performance monitoring
o Choke management
o Production optimization
• Able to analyze production data and solve operational problems.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Familiar with HSE standards and Permit to Work (PTW) system.
• Oil & Gas safety certification will be an advantage.
• Willing to work on rotational/shift schedule and be based at the field.
