Indo Mines appoints new president director for its Indonesian JV

Indo Mines Limited has appointed Michael O?Connel, a mining expert, as president director for its Indonesian joint venture firm PT Jogja Magasa Iron (JMI), which manages iron project in Jogyakarta.
Indo Mines holds 70 percent interest in the joint venture iron project, with the balance held by its Indonesian partner.
O?Connell will be responsible for managing all aspects of JMI?s activities in Indonesia and in particular leading the planning and development of the project as the business moves into construction and operations.
O?Connell has had in excess of 35 years experience at New Zealand Steel, the only company in the world producing steel products from iron sand.
O?Connell will commence with the company on 28 November 2011 and will be based in Jogjakarta. (romel)
