Timah seeks partner to build tin chemical plant in Bangka Barat

The country?s largest tin producer and exporter PT Timah Tbk said it is seeking partner to build tin chemical plant in Bangka Barat.
Timah corporate secretary Abrun Abubakar said the company has offered the opportunity with a South Korean firm, however Timah has yet to receive response.
?We are preparing feasibility study. The plant will be built in an industrial area which comprises of tin chemical plant, port and power plant,? said Abrun.
At present, Timah has tin chemical plant in Cilegon in Banten province. The plant in Bangka Barat will be more efficient as its location is near the tin smelter plant and raw material source. (giok)
