Copper Gold Mining Company – EPC - Security; 3 Positions

An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.

To support our expansion project, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced professional to fill the following position:

MANAGER OPERATIONS SECURITY

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for providing leadership in the development and implementation of the overall security strategy of the company through implementation of flexible and high-level security solutions with regards to the protection of all Mine assets;

• Leading security members to provide security protection guarantees for company assets, people, equipment and resources as well as continuity of company operations from the possibility of interference from both internal and external;

• Develop, implement and manage the overall Mine processes for security strategy and related architecture and engineering standards;

• Align security functions, standards and philosophy with of the  Industry Standards and best practices to ensure fit with the overall Mine strategy and objectives;

• Oversee the continuous monitoring and protection of assets, facilities, product, personnel and information systems and proactively respond to any perceived risks or breaches;

• Deal with confidential issues and communicate these to stakeholders at the required level;

• Manage security contractor(s) to obtain maximum outputs and adherence to agreed scope of work;

• Develop and implement security policies, standards and guidelines to ensure adherence and compliance to Mine security;

• Work closely with all stakeholders in order to understand the Mine’s requirements and regulatory compliance so as to map the requirements to current and future security projects;

• Ensure that the Mine conforms to best practices and security industry standards and provide a secure environment;

• Liaise with relevant departments to train departmental personnel on appropriate security standards and policies and contribute towards the achievement of security objectives and safe working environment;

• Undertake negotiation for budgets and financial plans with relevant groups and individuals in ways that build commitment to the plans.

• Review cost management issues and identify improvements.

• Manage Department’s Budget, identify issues, and propose improvements.

• To analyze intelligence information, report and give presentations if needed

• Able to make work plans and financing plans (budgeting)

 What skills and experience do you need?

• Tertiary degree in Risk/Security Management or equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 10 years’ experience in security management in a large working area (minimum 25,000 ha), and able to lead more than 500 security personnel in the field.

• Have minimum 5 years’ experiences in similar role as Manager Operations Security;

• Have experience in handling private jetty,

• Have skills surrounding security technologies in the field of face recognition systems, CCTV strategy installation, movement sensors, Access Control and Diamond Control; Sound knowledge of Criminal Procedure Act, Law of Evidence and Security Law; Sound knowledge of Investigation and detection procedures; have basic survival knowledge; able to carry out field inspections; Have high skill and flexibility in communicating, especially with security agencies;

• Have Garda Utama certification,

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate

MANAGER SECURITY SYSTEMS

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible for planning, selecting, and implementing security technologies at project site (badging system, GPS tracking, movement sensor, face recognition image, CCTV, etc.) to support our business;

• To implement effective systems to protect proprietary information, company data and general interactions of employees;

• To develop strategies to address past issues and future challenges;

• To Direct the company security functions, including physical security and safety of employees, facilities, and assets business operations;

• Lead on the development and implementation of security related initiatives, for example, intruder alarms, locking systems, access control, incident reporting and CCTV systems for the Company;

• Provide Security Risk Assessments for all buildings;

• Develop and implement plans and strategies for security and transport to satisfy company requirements, mitigate risk, create efficiencies, reduce costs and position the company to cope with future demands and expectations;

• Manage the numerous security and transport contracts to ensure KPIs are being set, measured and reported, contract meetings are held and contract terms are being either met or exceeded;

• Manage the day to day systems and processes for security and transport including those for security staff, keys, locks, access control, CCTV, alarms, traffic management, and investigations.

• Undertake investigations into criminal activities and other sensitive matters which may have reputational implications for the company. Recommend strategies to minimize risk, inform stakeholders and provide cost effective outcomes. Liaise closely with senior management, police and other parties;

• Be available 24/7 to coordinate the initial response to emergency situations. Liaise closely with senior management and local emergency services;

• Oversee compliance and quality assurance management, in line with requirements under the Company’s risk management framework including OH&S, legislation, statutes, regulations and policies;

• Propose and manage section budget and spending as per company policies to achieve efficient operation;

• Develop operating budgets for the Security Department and ensure adherence to the budget;

• Manage department routine and projects annual business planning (budgeting) process (headcount, Opex, Capex, and closure cost), identify issues, and propose improvements;

• Ensure that programs are conducted within approved budgetary constraints.

• Be accountable for approval of purchases and expenditure within the delegated limits of authority;

• Review monthly cost and production against budget, and identify improvements.

• Reforecast budget if necessary;

• The budgeting and costing process are assisted by relevant subordinates;

• Undertake negotiation for budgets and financial plans with relevant groups and individuals in ways that build commitment to the plans;

 What skills and experience do you need?

• Tertiary degree in Risk/Security Management or equivalent from a recognized institution with minimum 10 years of experience in security, law enforcement or military operations.

• Minimum 5 years management experience in similar role  in security operations and large working area with multi facet teams in resource or industrial sectors;

• Have experience in handling private jetty; Have experience in Contract management and Project management in related field; Demonstrated budgeting and cost control skills;

• Have knowledge of gold mining technology and mining security applications; Have skills surrounding security technologies in the field of face recognition systems, CCTV strategy installation, movement sensors, Access Control and Diamond Control; International exposures to security management system is an advantage;

• Sound knowledge of Criminal Procedure Act, Law of Evidence and Security Law; Sound knowledge of Investigation and detection procedures, conduct studies and collect data to detect sources of loss and risks; Able to organize and interpret information and identify necessary corrections, Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports on loss and loss mitigation strategies; Prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks, crimes and incidents.

• Have Garda Utama certification,

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Possess strong liaison skills; Possess strong influencing skills and the ability to develop an effective Security Team across multiple sites; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; Manage multiple sites and tasks at the same time; High level of integrity and commitment; Demonstrated leadership skills; Good analytical, conflict resolution, sound decision making skills;

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.

SENIOR SUPERVISOR SECURITY – EPC FIXED PLANT

(National - Site Based)

Some of your duties will include:

• Responsible to manage a multifaceted asset protection department across multiple sites within the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project.

• To ensure the assets of the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project are safe and adequately protected to prevent it from going missing, being stolen, robbed or damaged or else being accessed by unauthorized person.

• To alias with company holding Security Department to ensure that all security requirements of company are being met and complied with in the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project.

• Direct the activities related to asset protection in order to protect the Processing Plant/ Mill Expansion Project assets.

• Manage operations responsible for controlling site access including inspecting vehicles, checking in visitors and checking for employee name tags.

• Manage the conduct of investigations into incidents in line with company holding ethics tool.

• Assess security problems; devise appropriate responses; review actions with staff; inform superiors of unusual events.

• Manage all physical security requirements for areas under control.

• Determine electronic security system requirements and recommend additions or changes.

• Direct activities during emergency situations by staying apprised of emergency response systems, monitoring emergency activities and supervising response personnel.

• Implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with security efforts.

• Keep senior management apprised of any developments or problems that may interfere with process or cause property loss.

• Direct the activities of contractor security personnel; review activities and determine the need for special security arrangements for activities or events.

• Meet all monthly and weekly reporting requirements.

What skills and experience do you need?

• Tertiary degree in a related security discipline.

• Minimum 12 years of experience in security, law enforcement or military operations in Mining and or Processing Plant Construction/ EPC Industry experience is preferred.

• Minimum 8 years project management experience as Senior Supervisory role as Lead/ Coordinator/ Advisor security operations with multi facet teams in resource or industrial sectors.

• Contract management experience; have depth understanding and demonstrate of Project management in related field and gold mining technology and mining security applications; International exposures to security management system is an advantage; Demonstrated budgeting and cost control skills.

• Have skill set of Conduct studies and collect data to detect sources of loss and risks; Organize and interpret information and identify necessary corrections; Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports on loss and loss mitigation strategies; Prepare reports and correspondence related to the security risks, crimes and incidents.

• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; good in coaching/mentoring; good analytical; conflict resolution; Possess strong liaison skills; Possess strong influencing skills and the ability to develop an effective Security Team across multiple sites; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; Manage multiple sites and tasks at the same time; High level of integrity and commitment.

• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate;

• Contract Project based.
