An Indonesian mining company which operates the copper and gold mining and have a long-term expected mine life followed by processing stockpiles.
To support our operations with a variety of projects and challenging tasks in Safety, Environment and Security area, we are looking for highly motivated professionals eager for brave thinking, foster innovation, and build collaboration to achieve operational excellence to fill the following position :
SUPERINTENDENT OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
• Responsible to utilize strong leadership, organizational, and technical skills to guide the staff Occupational Health & Safety to achieve full compliance with all legal and other requirements.
• To manage side wide safety operations related issues for all project activities, to hold all employees accountable for high OHS standards, and promote a culture of OHS excellence.
• To manage company objectives and all applicable Government of Indonesia regulatory and permit obligations for OHS, with reporting, compliance, and other statutory requirements.
• To be accountable for the execution of plans/projects in each of these functions and responsible for the training and development of employees in OHS Department.
• To manage and find the solution all operational OHS issues and improves safety performance among organization of site project (including Business Partner).
• To act as a Manager OHS cover sitewide activity during Manager SHLP was not available on site.
• Audits compliance to company safety rules and policies, procedures and programs as well as Indonesian Government requirements.
• Assists Departmental Managers in the implementation/Supervision of Safety/Loss Control activities; Working closely with respective Manager in his area responsibilities to ensure all OHS applied properly.
• Support and work with all stakeholder in OHS Services in the implementation of emergency response procedures in his area of responsibilities.
• Support and work with internal team in the implementation of OHH programs in his area of responsibilities.
• Advises line management regarding safety rules, regulation, trends, statistics and compliance with rules and policies.
• Participate at the accident investigation, observations, safety Interactions, Inspections, Safety meetings to assure that program are working as intended.
• Prepares work schedule and weekly report.
• Ensures compliance with company Standard Task Procedures.
• Assist line supervisor to have observations/Safety Interactions for their positions.
• Provide required resources to achieve the compliance of mine operation safety laws and regulations.
• Analyses data from accident investigations, observations, inspections, and other sources to assure management that programs are working as intended. Proposes alternatives to programs that are not working as intended.
• Implements and maintains Emergency Response Plan Procedures.
• Conduct annual side wide risk register (IBPR) and follow up priority as appropriate
• Manage Site Wide Risk Register and evaluation of the implementation layer audit for Top 10 High Risk to each department involvement
• Responsible to the preparation material (C&P Monthly, MCS, SEE Quarterly Meeting, Board Directors Meeting), etc for management, government and corporate officials.
• Responsible to the preparation and submittal for accident/incident report to Mine Inspector, monthly report OHS information (internal and external), quarterly for DOME and annual reporting of the department’s activities.
• Assist Manager OHS to comply with all the OHS mandatory requirements for Company and business operations.
• Propose and manage section budget and spending as per company policies to achieve efficient operation.
• Monitor and control overhead charges, through interrogation of reports on a monthly basis. Report on variance to the OHS Manager and identify improvement opportunities.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health & Safety qualifications or relevant qualifications with minimum 12 years of experience working in Mining industries; Post Graduate (Master Degree in OHS) is preferable;
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in similar role in managerial role as Superintendent OHS Operations; had operational experience in Health, Safety or Loss Prevention or related field Smelter and or Mining Mineral Processing is preferable;
• Understand Mining and Smelter business process; Understand the mining and construction process involving at least 100 employees.
• Demonstrate HSE skill in mining, milling or heavy industry, engineering, project management, human resource management, training or training development with program implementation; Managed OHS Operational of Mining/ Smelter Processing activity minimum 7 years; Has Emergency Response Team Experience.
• The candidate should possess HSE System Trainings (Investigation, Risk Assessment or other HSE Trainings supported the system);
• Understand Loss Control Management philosophies; Have strong knowledge about safety, health & environment standard, Knowledge of Internal Audit, Knowledge of SMKP Internal Audit , and the implementations (SMKP, ISO45001, ISO14001, ISPS Port, Security Management System, OHSAS 18001, Safety Auditor, Risk Management process) and government safety regulation; understand about HSE standard on Mining activities; Familiar with Safety management at all levels.
• Have strong knowledge of Accident Incident Investigation Method, Work Permit Management System, Mining, Construction, Indonesia Regulation in DEMR.
• Have middle level operational inspector certificate (POM) or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of position.
• Registered Auditor for SMKP Minerba refer to KepDirjen 185/2019 in DEMR and has Experience as Lead Auditor in SMKP Minerba DEMR will be as added value;
• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate; Strong leadership and organizational, scheduling & time management skills; Ability to work both independently and as a team player and thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment; Ability to communicate well, and work productively with internal and external individuals; A commitment to safety and a desire to maintain our Indonesian mining operations to world class international safety standards; Demonstrate strong conceptual skills, and capable of developing lateral and practical solutions; High level of integrity and commitment; Good analytical; conflict resolution; sound decision making skills; innovative.
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written and computer literate.
COORDINATOR SECURITY
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
• Supervise the security management system including company security documents and its Business Partners;
• Develop, administer, and maintain the security standard operating procedures, security database and security risk assessment;
• Supervise the implementation of the security services of company Business Partners in accordance with their scope of work/services;
• Develop and implement the security awareness program i.e., produce publication materials, deliver security awareness session in safety induction etc.
• Develop, administer, and maintain and maintain security stakeholders.
• Conduct site visit and collaborate with company Business partners, company Consultants and company holding related departments to strengthen security services.
• Occasionally, conduct and administer investigation/verification process.
• To manage and ensure that security management systems are running effectively to protect people and assets.
• To ensure the company security services align with the regulation of Chief of the Indonesian National Police (Perkapolri) and decree of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources about National Vital Object (Obvitnas).
• To improve the security awareness for national and expatriates’ employees who work under smelter construction project.
• Implement the day-to-day security management system.
• Protect company assets & business operations with new security strategies, monitoring controls and ongoing evaluation.
• Conduct security systems audits to ensure security system is secure to support our business operations.
• Monitor system design & usage to ensure that the company have the proper level of security system.
• Conduct security awareness program to improve the sense of ‘security is everybody business.
• Develop the security standard operating procedures and maintain security database.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelor’s degree from any discipline background. Preferably Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technical, Law, Social Science or related field required.
• Minimum 10 years’ working professional experience in security management in a large working area, and at least 5 years of field experiences in mining industry or extractive industry; Have minimum 5 years’ experiences in similar role as Chief Security/ Coordinator Security,
• Have experience and exposed with Security Management System, such as Stakeholder Management, SOP/ Procedure Development, Security awareness and Technology, Emergency Command Center, Analyst & Investigations; and able to coordinate security personnel in the field.
• Extensive knowledge of computer systems: Computer skills, including the use of Microsoft programs (Excel, Outlook, Word, Internet Explorer, Visio, PPT).
• Strong communication and language skills in English & Bahasa (verbal and written communication via letters, emails, memos), including the ability to clearly communicate with international and national colleagues, government officials at every level and member of field security provider.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and aspects of security governance and external communication.
• Ability to effectively coordinate meetings, investigations, and safety/security functions company wide.
• Basic mathematical skills to calculate budgets and costs for training, technology, and security systems information.
• Administrative skills such as filing and data entry.
• Ability to operate drone.
• Strong knowledge with CCTV network and system.
• Have driving licence SIM A.
REPRESENTATIVE INDUSTRIAL HYGIENE & OCCUPATIONAL
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
• Responsible for safety, health, loss control prevention of Support area within their geographic areas of responsibilities.
• Implement Industrial Hygiene (IH) systems, sampling and monitoring compliance annually that match with IH monitoring plan, requirement, regulation, and technical standards
• Maintain IH and safety equipment availability, supervise area, and develop program with the related skills and knowledge of Industrial Hygiene and Safety technical support practices
• Assist and Coordinate with supervisor and business partners related to IH and Safety Technical Support programs in their area
• Coordinate with Occupational Health/Clinic doctor and area responsible related to Health Risk Assessment (HRA), MCU program, and Return to Work Capability Assessment (RWCA) schedule.
• Involve and Facilitate Safety risk and opportunity register
• Conduct internal audit related with Occupational Health and Safety related with regulation and company standards.
• Involve and review of SHLP controlled documents based on Information register, audit and risks assessment findings and Company Standards and procedures.
• Identify and manage continuous improvement opportunities and assignment of resources to review and implement safety standard.
• Prepare internal and external reports related with safety and occupational health (weekly, monthly, quarterly, semester, and annual)
• Maintain SHLP database reporting system internal (EHS Manager 360) and external reporting DEMR (SIMKP Minerba)
• Ensure SHLP Database system (EHS Manager 360) work properly
• Prepare work schedule, equipment availability, sampling analysis, and develop with the related skills and knowledge of Industrial Hygiene and Safety technical support practices.
• Build strong expertise in own field, clearly understand own and team objectives/goal, and deliver consistent high performance.
• Establish and maintain close communication with department users thru monthly safety meeting, SSE Meeting, Business Partners Quarterly Meeting, safety Committee Meeting, Annual Risk Register, Internal Audit SMKP.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Hygiene or related field experience such as occupational health, doctor, chemistry, health care, nursing, and biology equivalent is preferable.
• Hold an Industrial Hygiene certificate from National Professional Certification Board
• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate
• Minimum Five (5) years working experience in similar role to conduct Industrial Hygiene sampling and monitoring or equivalent experience obtained during the pursuit of work experience
• Must understand Mine Safety Management System philosophies and know Indonesian safety regulations
• Good understanding of mining process
• Must understand food hygiene & Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP)
• Possession of a high standard of management skill
• Have ability to prioritize work in order to drive continuous improvement
• Be able to speak to groups and communicate abstract concepts
• Able to use any kind of reporting tools would be preferable.
• Well-developed computer skills to be able to implement and maintain effective systems and processes
• Good report writing skills.
• Excellent computer skills and be competent in software package, statistical program, equipment software, database software, power point and graphic software
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
SENIOR SPECIALIST RECLAMATION
(National - Site Based)
Some of your duties will include:
• Maintain nursery operations to produce sufficient seedlings & seeds for reclamation programs.
• Apply appropriate erosion and sediment control, forest silviculture and forest ecology restoration technique to achieve long term geotechnical stability and approved future land use on waste dump reclamation.
• Report all site reclamation program in accordance with the commitments specified in the company documents and all applicable GOI regulatory obligations
• Ensure that sufficient inventories of expendable supplies are maintained to accomplish all work tasks.
• Coordinate necessary support activities with other departments (i.e. transportation, warehousing, infrastructure, logistics, maintenance) to ensure that work assignments are conducted on time.
• Ensure that reclamation equipment and tools are being properly inventoried, stored, and maintained by the staff. Inventories will be monitored by the Supervisor Field Reclamation on a monthly basis.
• Immediately report any and all items that require repair, offsite calibration, and/or routine maintenance service to the Supt. Environment Planning & Project.
• Help Supt. Environment Planning & Project coordinate service and/or repair so that the item of concern will not impede proper implementation of the reclamation program, nor adversely affect the compliance requirements.
• Investigate all instances where tools and/or equipment are lost, stolen, and/or damaged. Determine the cause of the problem, and corrective action, if necessary, to prevent repeat incidents. Immediately report such instances to the Supt. Environment Planning & Project.
• Data collection of special activity in accordance with annual program and support compliant or other departments.
• Coordinate consultant visits including visa and room arrangements, travel arrangements, staffing requirements, etc.
• Confirm that all equipment for consultant’s visits is accounted for and in good operating condition prior to the consultant’s arrival to site.
• Act as coordinator for other reclamation activities during the absence of other Senior Specialist.
• Responsible for the integrity of the data collected by his/her staff. As such, all data collected and/or produced by the technicians will be checked for accuracy, representativeness, and completeness.
• Manage documentation and data files and to analyze data for trend analysis, including; Conduct QA/QC review of all field data collection, prepare reports of the data results related to Environmental Department or Company requirements such as monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, yearly and special reports.
• Ensure that daily, weekly, monthly, and/or quarterly data for internal use within company is posted for review on time and in the proper format, transmit data files and appropriate supporting documentation, once reviewed and approved for accuracy to consultants providing technical support to project data collection activities, Conduct quality control checks of field procedures on a monthly basis.
What skills and experience do you need?
• Bachelor’s degree in forestry, Agriculture, Biology or equivalent; Have Postgraduate in mine rehabilitation, ecology restoration is preferable;
• Minimum Six (6) years supervisory work experience in mine rehabilitation.
• Able to operate GIS database would be preferable.
• Hold an operational inspector certificate or qualifications certificate recognized by KaIT (Chief Mines Inspector) in accordance with level of positions; poses relevant technical inspector certificate.
• Have a good knowledge of Mine rehabilitation, Acid Rock Drainage, Mine Water management and Forest Ecology Forest Ecology.
• Strong leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills, and technical writing skills
• Good organizational & project management skills.
• Excellent computer skills and be competent in all Microsoft Office software program
• Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
