Conrad Asia Energy is focused on natural gas in the shallow waters offshore Indonesia, and via its wholly owned subsidiaries, is the holder of several operated tenements in offshore Indonesia in the form of Production Sharing Contracts (PSCs). The Company specialises in the identification and acquisition of undervalued, overlooked, and/or technically misunderstood gas assets, and has developed expertise in maturing such assets through subsurface technical work, appraisal drilling and an innovative approach to low-cost field development.
Conrad holds a 76.5% operated interest in the Duyung PSC via its wholly owned subsidiary, West Natuna Exploration Limited, with the project located in the Riau Islands Province, Indonesian waters in the West Natuna area.

Job Description
The Senior Petroleum Engineer will serve as a senior member of Conrad’s technical team reporting to the Development Manager.
Responsibilities include: the planning and execution of exploration wells, evaluation of data appraisal optimisation of EUR for all fields from discovery to abandonment, the formulation and planning of drilling campaigns, work-over planning, long- and short-term production forecasting and daily optimisation of production from the portfolio of existing wells, the planned abandonment of wells for which no further use is envisaged.
Responsibilities
Work in a team environment with other reservoir engineers, geologists, production engineers, engineers and field personnel to identify and execute capital projects including:
• Designing and executing petroleum engineering data acquisition programmes;
• Providing reservoir descriptions through fluid analysis, core evaluation, pressure transient interpretation, and production performance analysis;
• Building analytical (e.g. material balance models, decline curve analysis, etc.) models of oil/gas fields in order to describe reservoir characteristics C behaviour;
• Building dynamic simulation models of oil/gas fields in order to optimize the modelling of fluid flows
• Identifying key reservoir uncertainties and providing recommendations to mitigate risks;
• Providing short-term C long-term production forecasts and reserves assessments to support development/depletion planning and production optimisation opportunities;
• Formulating the petroleum engineering input to Field Development Plans / Plans of Development;
• Leading input into Annual Reserves Reporting process and annual End of Field Life study.
• Helping design well completions;
• Managing Production System Optimisation (incl. deferment assessment, categorisation and initiating of root cause analyses, shut-in potential minimisation);
• Evaluating and recommending flow rate enhancement;
• Developing and/or leveraging new reservoir engineering technologies to support business solutions;
• Taking due regards to the relevant regulatory, statutory and contractual / partner requirements in all activities;
• Input to the annual reservoir management budget, including operational budgets to carry out intervention and data acquisition activities.
HSSE Responsibilities:
• Monitor compliance to all relevant health, safety and environmental management procedures and controls within a defined area of engineering activity to guarantee employee safety, legislative compliance, delivery of high-quality products/service and a responsible environmental attitude.
• Manage contractor relationships in relation to health, safety and environmental performance.
Functional Leadership:
The Senior Petroleum Engineer will be involved in:
• Motivating the juniors to deliver efficient and exemplary performance;
• Providing advice, support and resource recommendation on PE/RE tools and manpower requirements.
Experience and Ǫualifications Required
• Petroleum Engineer with minimum 10-years’ experience, Skilled in all core PE/RE areas (in particular reserves estimates and integrity, production forecasting, dynamic simulation, etc.). A Master’ s degree is an added advantage.
• Substantial experience across the full upstream value chain, from exploration, appraisal, development, mature production and abandonment. Ideally across multiple reservoir and fluid types and covering both field studies and operational activities. Experience in feasibility studies, field development or exploration support.
• Experience in of both analytical and simulation based dynamic modelling techniques.
• Experience preferred in completion design, sand control, geomechanics, well interventions, well stimulation required.
• Experience in identifying and optimising subsurface business opportunities, taking full account of uncertainties e.g. Value of Information, multiple resource realisations, surface/subsurface constraints and interfaces, etc).
• Mathematical and numerical ability.
• Can make value-based decisions. Able to deliver value-added deals.
• Proficient in communication skills and confident to engage with audiences at many levels within and outside Conrad. Uses communication skills to influence behaviour and outcomes.
• Excellent team player, competent to lead or participate in teams for complex studies/processes, with some involvement of other disciplines.
• Generates business opportunities and takes independent action within discipline framework, including frequent interaction with other disciplines.
• Self-starter, proven team and leadership capabilities.
