PT Agincourt Resources (PTAR) specialises in gold and silver exploration, mining, and processing at the Martabe Gold Mine in South Tapanuli, North Sumatra. PTAR is headquartered in Jakarta and employs over 3,000 workers as of 2024, with more than 99% being Indonesian citizens and over 70% recruited locally. The Martabe Gold Mine, located in South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra, operates across 646.08 hectares as of December 2024. Since production began on 24 July 2012, the mine has processed over 6 million tonnes of ore annually, producing more than 200,000 ounces of gold and 1–2 million ounces of silver annually.

The Martabe Gold Mine operates under a 30-year Contract of Work (CoW) with the Indonesian Government. Initially spanning 6,560 km² in 1997, the concession area has been refined to 130,252 hectares (1,303 km²), encompassing South Tapanuli, Central Tapanuli, North Tapanuli and Mandailing Natal Regencies.

As of June 2024, the mine’s mineral resources were estimated at 6.1 million ounces of gold and 59 million ounces of silver, while ore reserves were calculated at 3.2 million ounces of gold and 32 million ounces of silver.

The Martabe Gold Mine is currently seeking a qualified professional to join our MPDSE Department Team, supporting the enhancement of departmental capabilities and the achievement of strategic objectives.

 

SUPERVISOR – ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS

This position is based at the Martabe Gold Mine site within the Environment Department and reports directly to the Superintendent – Environmental Management Systems & Reporting.

The Environmental Management Systems Supervisor will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving PTAR’s Environmental and Energy Management Systems in line with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 50001:2018 standards. The role supports site management in achieving full regulatory compliance, reducing environmental impacts, and enhancing energy performance across operations.

In addition, the Supervisor will contribute to the Environmental Reporting function, ensuring the accuracy, continuity, and timeliness of mandatory reports in line with applicable regulations and company policies.

 

Candidates for this position are expected to meet the following qualifications and criteria:

1. Minimum bachelor’s degree in Environment, Science, Forestry, Natural Resources Management, or a related discipline.

2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in the mining industry, with proven expertise in implementing and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 50001 systems.

3. Proficiency in MS Office and demonstrated experience managing or coordinating site inspection programs.

4. Familiarity with environmental reporting requirements, including but not limited to: AMDAL, RKL-RPL, Miners Report, Greenhouse Gas Calculation, RKAB Report, Sustainability Report, Proper Document, SIMPEL.

5. Strong knowledge of ISO 14001:2015, ISO 50001:2018, Life Cycle Assessment, and Energy Management.

6. Preferably holds a valid L/V Driver’s License, ISO 14001 Lead Auditor Certification, and/or relevant postgraduate qualifications.

7. Solid understanding of Indonesian environmental laws and regulations.

8. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and foster a positive workplace culture.

9. Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and capable of working independently to meet objectives.

10. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with proficiency in both spoken and written English highly desirable.
