Production Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and analytical Production Engineer to join our Production Team. This role will support production optimization, well surveillance, operational projects, and technical engineering activities for both MOTL and MOSL assets.
The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge in upstream oil & gas operations, production engineering, artificial lift systems, and well performance optimization.
Role and responsibilities:
Well Surveillance & Production Optimization
• Monitor day-to-day well and pump production performance.
• Analyze production parameters and optimize well productivity.
• Maintain production dashboards, databases, and performance tracking systems.
• Develop and maintain artificial lift and pump performance databases.
Production Engineering & Reporting
• Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual production, lifting, and stock reports.
• Support internal stakeholders with production engineering data and analysis.
• Participate in meetings and discussions with partners, vendors, and regulatory authorities.
Operations & Project Support
• Evaluate production enhancement and optimization technologies.
• Support drilling, workover, well service, and idle well reactivation programs.
• Participate in completion design activities for new wells and workovers.
• Witness and supervise field execution activities when required.
• Support flow assurance and production-related operational projects.
Technical Support
• Develop production forecasts and lifting nominations.
• Monitor and update operational losses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Reservoir, Drilling & Completion, Operations, HSE, Commercial, and Finance.
Requirements & Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline.
• Maximum 5 years of experience in the upstream oil & gas industry.
• Strong understanding of production engineering principles and well performance optimization.
• Experience with artificial lift design and selection.
• Familiarity with drilling, completion, and production facility operations.
• Knowledge of project management systems, HSE standards, and Migas regulations.
• Experience participating in HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and PHA processes is preferred.
• Experience with PETEX Suite, Kappa, Petrel, or other petroleum engineering software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• AI, automation, or coding experience will be considered an advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a dynamic environment and under tight deadlines.
