J Resources is an Indonesian owned, intermediate gold producer, as measured by global output. We produce ~200,000oz per annum, derived mainly from our operating Indonesian assets. We operate, mine and understand low grade-gold deposits and heap leach systems.

As a result of the rapid expansion, we are currently looking for qualified candidates to the following role to be based in our Head Office - Jakarta:

MANAGER – GIS & DATABASE

RESPONSIBILITIES

• To design and implement database system including old data validation and migration which are scattered in various places with different formats.

• To ensure all data are integrated by saving the copy of core photo and manual logging scanning into HO server and to maintain the database system to be ready for use at any time.

• To map the database process as well as the required QA/QC standards and also to create gap analysis and risks anticipation as a preventive action to ensure that standard drilling data and sample assays meets “best-practices” standard and JORC.

• To lead the collection, selection and categorization all of GIS data from site area and to store valid data on server.

• To obtain standard map database which are required to build GIS.

• To do the GIS data Mapping (Geology, Geochemical, and Geophysics) to analyze and design systems that can be used for GIS modelling as the basis for exploration decision making.

• To conduct GIS-based analysis (prospect, fuzzy logic) for targeting and rating-ranking purposes.

• To lead and control the implementation of grade control database system including coordination with the JOLIS team for data integration.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor degree in Geology, Geophysics/Geography, Mining or any related disciplines.

• Minimum 15 year experience in design, programming, implementation and maintenance of Geographical Information System (GIS) and database server system specific to the exploration and mining industry.

• Desired software familiarity: acQuire, MapInfo-Discover, Micromine, MS Access, MS SQL.

• Advantageous software familiarity : ArcGIS, Remote Sensing (ERMapper, GlobalMapper), AUTOCAD, Resources Estimation (SURPAC, Datamine), Geologic Modelling (GeoSoft, Leapfrog)
