Well Site Geologist
Role and Scope:
• Wellsite geological supervision during drilling.
• Communication and reporting of geology related data to personnel on the rig and to the Company operations geologist and operations team located in the Company onshore office on daily basis.
• Liaison closely with the wellsite drilling staff and provide advice with regards to predicted or possible changes in drilling conditions, lithologies, and formation pressures in a timely manner.
• Wellsite quality control, interpretation, and reporting of geological data including mud logging, pore pressure, biostratigraphy, wireline, and MWD/LWD logs.
• Recording and evaluating lithology, hydrocarbon shows, and other geological parameters during drilling.
• Preparation of daily reports. More frequent reports may be required at Company's request.
• Supervise and be accountable for packing, labeling, manifesting, and shipping geological data and samples.
• Submit daily geological reports in the required formats, including engineering ASCII / LAS data sets by e-mail.
• Maintain a secure working file at the well-site for all geological data, logs and communications.
• Produce a lithology log and composite log in GEO software and send the update lithology to town daily.
Qualifications:
• A minimum a bachelor’s degree in Geology discipline.
• A minimum 5 years' experience as a wellsite geological supervision.
• Experience working in onshore Sumatra.
• Experience working in South Sumatra Basin reservoir.
• Experience working in basement fracture reservoir.
• Competence on operate GEO Software.
• Have competence and experience in the technical support field of GEOLOGIX software including renewal of the license.
• Competence on RWEB software is preferable.
Jr Drilling Rig Consultant
Role and Scope:
• Responsible for the safety and environmental awareness with all offshore company / contract staff such that drilling, completion and testing operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conduct safety and environmental audits on the offshore drilling facility.
• Provide supervision of all wellsite activities, ensuring that operational work plans are performed safely and continuously improved. Ensure work plans are communicated to and understood by all affected personnel.
• Review and optimize drilling programs / procedures & therefore ensure successful and efficient implementation of the drilling program.
• Exercise leadership and judgment in dealing with emergencies with concurrence from Senior Drilling Supervisor.
• Ensure that equipment and procedures are in place to deal with emergencies and unexpected deviations from the well plan.
• Ensure optimal deployment of wellsite resources and logistical support (marine and air transport) by planning ahead for likely operations and contingencies.
• Prepare daily drilling report using WellView® drilling data management system.
• Prepare daily 6-12 day forecast and cost tracking.
Qualifications:
• Minimum BSc. Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 15+ years of industry experience in all aspects of drilling supervision.
• Hold a valid IWCF well control certificate for Drilling Supervisor level in surface stack operations (minimum).
• Have MPD experience.
• Technical excellence in all aspects of drilling, testing, completions, and workover operations.
• Significant and recent exposure to critical onshore drilling operations.
• Computer proficiency in word processing spread sheet and engineering application software – WellView® drilling data management system.
Senior Drilling Rig Consultant
Role and Scope:
• Responsible for the safety and environmental awareness with all onshore company / contract staff such that drilling, completion and testing operations are carried out in a safe and environmentally sound manner. Conduct safety and environmental audits on the onshore drilling facilities.
• Provide supervision of all wellsite activities, ensuring that operational work plans are performed safely and continuously improved. Ensure work plans are communicated to and understood by all affected personnel.
• Review and optimize drilling programs / procedures & therefore ensure successful and efficient implementation of the drilling program.
• Ensure that equipment and procedures are in place to deal with emergencies and unexpected deviations from the well plan.
• Ensure optimal deployment of wellsite resources and logistical support by planning ahead for likely operations and contingencies.
• Ensure good communication between office, logistics base and rig.
• Coordinate, supervise, and critique service company activities.
• Continuously identify ways to reduce costs and improve DC&WO program effectiveness without sacrificing quality, production rates, or reserves.
• Ensure that all in-country safety, regulatory, and environmental guidelines are followed.
• Ensure that operational activities conform to the government regulation.
• Prepare and submit daily drilling report.
• Prepare and submit daily 6-12 day forecast.
Qualifications:
• Minimum BSc. Degree in Engineering.
• Minimum of 20 years of industry experience in all aspects of drilling supervision.
• Hold a valid IWCF well control certificate for Drilling Supervisor level in surface stack operations (minimum).
• Have MPD experience.
