Genting Oil Kasuri Pte. Ltd. (GOKPL) is an energy company and a subsidiary of the Genting Group, a leading multinational corporation headquartered in Malaysia. The Genting Group is actively expanding its presence in the energy sector, particularly in oil and gas, through Genting Oil & Gas, with operations in China and Indonesia. GOKPL operates in Teluk Bintuni and Fakfak Regencies, West Papua, Indonesia, and is currently developing the Asap, Kido, and Merah (AKM) Fields.

Under the Production Sharing Contract (PSC) arrangement with SKK Migas, GOKPL is currently seeking qualified professionals to join our team in the following positions:

1. Construction Supervisor (Mechanical, Piping, Electrical, Instrument, & Telecom) as Third Party Contract (Site – Papua Barat)

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee construction activities, including coordinating workers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.

• Supervise contractor performance, enforce safety regulations, and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with company policies and project requirements.

• Review and approve EPCI contractor deliverables such as specifications, data sheets, material requisitions, technical evaluations, and drawings.

• Identify and resolve construction issues, manage resources (labor, materials, equipment), and ensure all work aligns with approved plans, permits, and company standards.

• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders and ensure overall project execution is technically sound and aligned with company operations and project management systems.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in mechanical, piping, electrical, instrument, and telecom construction, preferably in oil & gas or power industries, with proven experience supervising all discipline work.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, with strong understanding of piping/mechanical design, P&ID and drawing interpretation, and welding codes/standards (e.g., ASME, API).

• Familiarity with telecom, HVAC, CCTV, Fire & Gas, Fire Alarm, and Access Control systems is an advantage.

• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage teams, resolve site issues, and coordinate with stakeholders.

• Experienced in implementing safety standards and working with large-scale EPCI contractors, able to work independently with minimal supervision.

 

2. Expeditor (Construction) as Third Party Contract (Site – Papua Barat)

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with project teams to evaluate vendors and ensure quality of supplied materials.

• Manage all expediting activities to support project schedules.

• Place purchase orders, ensure correct materials are procured, and maintain optimal inventory levels.

• Coordinate with subcontractors and manage project schedules.

• Resolve vendor issues, budget constraints, and supply chain problems while optimizing costs.

• Ensure timely delivery of materials, equipment, and technical data to meet project timelines.

• Monitor supplier performance and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.

• Review expediting workloads and take corrective actions when needed.

• Maintain and update material status reports and supply chain databases (SCS, SPD).

• Represent expediting in project meetings.

Qualifications:

• Minimum education of Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a relevant field.

• Minimum of 5 years experience as an expeditor supervisor in the oil & gas industry.

• Strong understanding of equipment and material fabrication processes.

• Proficient in monitoring supplier performance, handling back-charge procedures, and resolving claims/disputes.

• Strong knowledge of logistics and supplier quality processes.

• Good communication skills (oral & written) for coordination with project teams and suppliers.

• Capable of identifying risks (e.g., delays or supplier issues) and providing early warnings to project management.

• Familiar with expediting budgets and performance metrics tracking.

• Willing to work on a rotational schedule in remote project locations.

 

3. Commissioning Supervisor as Third Party Contract (Site – Papua Barat)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in the field in line with project plans and schedules.

• Coordinate with commissioning teams and related parties (engineering, construction, vendors) to ensure system readiness prior to testing.

• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with applicable procedures, technical standards, and HSE requirements.

• Verify system readiness, including installation checks, document completeness, and mechanical completion status.

• Oversee testing and troubleshooting activities to ensure optimal performance of systems and equipment.

• Identify and report technical issues during commissioning and coordinate follow-up actions for resolution.

• Ensure all commissioning documentation (checklists, test reports, punch lists) is properly prepared and maintained.

• Support system handover from project to operations team.

• Coordinate with HSE team to ensure safe execution of commissioning activities.

• Provide regular commissioning progress reports to management.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 8-10 years of work experience in operation/engineering/project within an oil and gas company/contractor.

• Hold at least a Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related engineering discipline.).

• Commissioning-specific certifications (e.g., from ACG, BСxA, or vendor

OEMs) are an advantage

• Possess hands-on experience in commissioning and/or precommissioning activities for oil and gas facilities.

• Familiar with EPC/EPF project environments and overall project lifecycle.

• Strong supervisory, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

• Able to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and meet project timelines.

 

4. Site Document Control as Third Party Contract (Site – Papua Barat)

Responsibilities:

• Planning and implementing Document Control System for company documents especially project documents.

• Incoming and Outgoing Document Management.

• Document Verification & Validation.

• Monitoring document revision control.

• Perform storage and archiving.

• Perform Transmittal Management.

• Distributing Documents.

• Ensure that all technical documents sent by vendors or contractors have been reviewed by internal parties (engineers, QA/QC, construction, etc).

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Operations, Engineering, or Projects within the oil & gas industry.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Management, or Administration, with certification/training in Document Management.

• Strong analytical, administrative, and communication skills, with attention to detail and quality.

• Familiar with ISO 9001, 45001, and 14001 standards, document control processes, and oil & gas production operations.
