NES Fircroft is partnering with leading clients in the chemical sector to recruit for the following key positions. All candidates must have experience in petrochemical, oil & gas, or refinery projects.
Instrument & Control (I&C) Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation or Electrical Engineering
• 12+ years in oil & gas or petrochemical industries, including 5+ years in a lead role
• Expertise in FEED, EPC, and site commissioning of instrumentation and control systems
• Proficient in DCS/PLC architecture, loop diagrams, and I/O design
• Knowledge of ISA, IEC, SIL standards and condition monitoring techniques (CMT)
• Experience with licensor coordination, FAT/SAT, and vendor management
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Familiarity with SMK3 and ISO 14001 systems
• Working knowledge of CMMS platforms (preferably Maximo)
• Skilled in EPC ITB preparation and tender evaluation
• Background in contractor/operator environments
• Certified Instrumentation Engineer or equivalent
• Proven ability to mentor and train junior engineers
Electrical Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• 12+ years in oil & gas or petrochemical projects, with 5+ years in a lead role
• Experience across FEED, EPC, construction, and commissioning phases
• Deep understanding of power systems, electrical safety, and hazardous area classification
• Proficient in ETAP and CMMS tools (e.g., Maximo)
• Skilled in reviewing SLDs, cable schedules, and data sheets
• Hands-on operational and troubleshooting experience in refinery/petrochemical plants
• Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Knowledge of SMK3 and environmental standards
• Experience in EPC ITB and tender evaluation
• Exposure to contractor/operator environments
• Chartered or professionally certified engineer
• Experience in mentoring and technical instruction
Piping Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Piping Engineering
• 12+ years in piping engineering, including 3+ years in a lead role
• Experience in FEED, EPC, and construction of piping systems
• Strong grasp of ASME B31.3, API standards
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Navisworks, Caesar II, and 3D model reviews
• Skilled in vendor coordination and EPC/construction team collaboration
• Knowledge of SMK3 and ISO 14001 compliance
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Experience in EPC ITB and bid evaluations
• Familiarity with reliability and constructability principles
Rotating Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 12+ years in rotating equipment engineering in oil & gas or industrial sectors
• Proven experience with pumps, compressors, and rotating asset lifecycle
• Knowledge of API 610, API 617, and vibration/performance testing
• Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, and CMMS platforms (Maximo/SAP)
• Strong vendor and cross-discipline team interface skills
• Field experience in construction support and troubleshooting
• Leadership and problem-solving capabilities
• Awareness of SMK3 and ISO 14001 systems
• Experience in EPC tendering and bid evaluation
• Certified vibration analyst or condition monitoring expertise
• Exposure to digital asset management and predictive maintenance
• Background in owner/operator environments
Static Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 12+ years in static equipment engineering in oil & gas or heavy industry
• Experience in design, procurement, and installation across project phases
• Knowledge of ASME, API, PED standards
• Familiarity with EPC execution and vendor document coordination
• Understanding of inspection, testing, and QA/QC for static systems
• Site-level construction and commissioning support experience
• Strong coordination and communication skills
• Awareness of SMK3 and ISO 14001 standards
• Experience in EPC tendering and bid evaluations
• Background in contractor/operator environments
• Mentoring experience
• Certified welding or pressure vessel inspector (preferred)
Civil & Structural Lead
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Master’s preferred)
• 12+ years in civil engineering for petrochemical, ammonia, oil & gas, or heavy industry projects, with 5+ years in a lead role
• Experience managing deliverables across Pre-FEED, FEED, EPC, and commissioning
• Strong foundation in structural, seismic, and geotechnical design
• Proficient in AutoCAD, STAAD Pro, SAP, and Primavera
• Familiarity with ACI, AISC, ASTM standards and local codes
• Skilled in resolving design and construction issues with EPCs, licensors, and vendors
• Excellent leadership and decision-making skills
• Knowledge of SMK3 and SML systems
• High integrity and commitment to safety, quality, and project excellence
Process Engineer
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 6+ years in process engineering within oil & gas, petrochemical, or chemical industries
• Proficient in Aspen HYSYS, ProII, or similar simulation tools
• Skilled in PFDs, P&IDs, and process calculations
• Knowledge of BED, material/energy balances, and equipment sizing
• Familiarity with SMK3 and ISO 14001 standards
• Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills
• Experience in licensor coordination and performance guarantee support
