BRIEF JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Executes the activities within own area of responsibility, ensuring the compliance with the QA/QC and HSE requirements, performing the following main tasks.
In general:
• Design, execute or check the typical Structural studies including:
- 3D modelling with Tekla (or equivalent 3D CAD tool)
- 3D model reviews with other disciplines
- design drawings for primary, secondary and tertiary structures
- bill of materials or material take off
- extraction of bill of materials and other weight information from the 3D CAD model
- developing Company standards on the basis lesson learned and fabrication yard recommendation
In the case of project execution
• Write the execution and quality control procedure for the 3D modelling and fabrication drawings in accordance with the project specifications
• Organize the work of own team, plan and follow-up the implementation of the resources mobilization plan
• Co-ordinate the work of own team with the structural engineers of the project
• Check the input data and all the documents and information issued by own team
• Keep all the stakeholders of the project informed of the modifications resulting from the work of own team
• Check permanently that all the assumptions, upon which own team work is based, keep up with the project development and warn the project Structural Lead of any detected anomaly
• Supervise the update of the documents after comments issued by other disciplines (inter-discipline checks) or external stakeholders (Client, Yards, Third party review, etc.)
