CITIC Seram Energy Limited (http://resources.citic/eng/business/oil.htm) is an onshore-based upstream oil and gas Production Sharing Contract (PSC) with SKK Migas operates in Seram Non-Bula block, East of Indonesia.

Explorations & Exploitations Manager

 

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage exploration and exploitation programs aimed at discovering economic and substantial oil or gas reserve, including evaluating and selecting exploration and exploitation opportunities, commercializing them, and maintaining regulatory compliance.

• Lead the planning and managing work programs, and budgets, including the PSC’s firm commitments.

• Lead and manage the exploration projects from conception to completion, including geological and geophysical assessments and reservoir analysis.

• Use advanced data analysis and modelling approaches to assess exploration opportunities and maximize resource recovery.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including geologists, engineers, and environmental specialists, to ensure that exploration efforts are aligned with company goals and regulatory needs.

• Develop and implement plans to maximize the use of existing assets, such as reservoir optimization, well intervention programs, and production enhancement projects.

• Internally coordinate with the head office, joint venture or PI holders, and other stakeholders, include but not limited to the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas), Lemigas, SKK Migas, contractors, etc.

 

Requirements

• Min. bachelor’s degree with geology background from reputable institution or university.

• Min. 10 years’ experience at PSC with the same roles and responsibilities.

• Having an experience and good relationship with Government and related stakeholders, such as Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), Directorate General of Oil and Gas (Ditjen Migas), Lemigas, SKK Migas, etc.

• Having good communication skills in Bahasa and English, both oral and written.

• Hardworking, detail oriented & able to work in a team, dynamic and pro-active.

 

Technical Skills

• Develop reserves estimates, production forecasts and economic evaluations.

• Development of field development plans, identifying opportunities, risks and uncertainties Arrange reservoir simulation models to project and test production and reservoir management scenarios, confirm, or identify reservoir behavior, and recommend actions from simulations studies.

• Broad technical knowledge across key subsurface disciplines (geology, geophysics, unconventional core analysis, petrophysics, geochemistry, petroleum system modelling, reservoir engineering).

• Strong understanding of risk, uncertainty, and probabilistic methods and their application to exploration opportunities.

• Manages integrated data interpretation and evaluation to generate prospects and leads and keeps an updated risked and ranked prospect.

• Propose wells to be drilled, worked over or re-entered and other opportunity to increase production or minimize the decline and look for additional reserve.

• Responsible for planning budgeting and planning work in conjunction with both corporate level and staff and management.

• Strong communication & presentation skills.

• Contribute to knowledge dissemination/sharing in a way that assists with building internal capabilities of employees where applicable and maximize their effective performance.

• Manage the activities and work performed by direct reports to ensure that it is carried out in an efficient and effective manner, in line with the annual business plans, policies and procedures.

 

General Skills

Strong experience in project management, Excellent communication, consultancy, advisory, and stakeholder relations, and data analytics skills, attention to detail and highly organized, Proficient in Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Specific Skills related Exploration and Exploitation activities: proficient with geological and geophysical software, petrophysics software, and familiar with economic analysis, and reservoir engineering."
