JOB DESCRIPTION

Position

Sales & Marketing Engineer / Executive

Location

Jakarta, Indonesia (with regional travel as required)

Reporting To

Sales & Marketing Manager – Indonesia

Job Purpose

To support Flowmach’s commercial growth in Indonesia by executing sales activities, identifying business opportunities, and assisting in marketing initiatives across the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and Industrial sectors. This role involves managing customer enquiries, preparing proposals, coordinating with principals/factories, and strengthening Flowmach’s brand presence in the region.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales Support

• Assist in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in target sectors (Oil & Gas, Power, Petrochemical, Refinery, Marine).

• Build and maintain relationships with EPCs, end users, and distributors.

• Prepare quotations, technical proposals, and tender submissions.

• Coordinate with principals/factories for pricing, technical clarifications, and delivery schedules.

• Follow up on leads, enquiries, and project status to ensure conversions. 

2. Marketing & Brand Support

• Execute local marketing activities to increase Flowmach’s visibility.

• Participate in exhibitions, client visits, and networking events.

• Collect market intelligence (competitor pricing, trends, customer requirements).

• Support digital marketing initiatives and localization of content for Indonesia.

3. Customer & Technical Support

• Provide basic pre-sales technical support (product selection, specifications, datasheets).

• Assist in resolving customer issues and coordinate after-sales follow-up with engineering/service teams.

• Monitor project deliveries, documentation, and service performance to ensure customer satisfaction.

4. Administration & Reporting

• Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and market feedback.

• Maintain proper documentation for tenders, quotations, and customer records.

• Ensure compliance with Flowmach’s internal processes and ethical standards.

5. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial) or related field.

• 1–5 years’ experience in industrial sales or technical sales (fresh graduates with strong interest in sales are welcome).

• Experience with valves, instrumentation, flow control equipment, or engineering products is an advantage.

• Familiarity with EPCs, Oil & Gas companies, or industrial clients in Indonesia is preferred.

6. Skills & Attributes

• Good communication and presentation skills (Bahasa Indonesia & English).

• Strong commercial awareness and basic technical understanding.

• Proactive, self-motivated, and results-driven.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Willing to travel domestically and occasionally regionally.

7. Preferred Advantages

• Exposure to tender processes (Pertamina, PLN, EPCs).

• Knowledge of API/ASME standards or oil & gas project documentation.

• Experience working with international principals or distributors.

Managing Director – Flowmach Engineering Sdn Bhd, Malaysia

Job Purpose

To lead and grow Flowmach’s commercial presence in Indonesia by developing business opportunities in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, and Industrial sectors. The role involves managing key customer relationships, promoting Flowmach’s portfolio of flow control, valves, instrumentation, and engineering solutions, and driving sales strategies aligned with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries (Oil & Gas, Power, Refinery, Petrochemical, and Marine).

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with EPCs, end users, and distributors in Indonesia.

• Develop country-specific sales strategies and forecasts aligned with regional growth plans.

• Lead tendering, bidding, and contract negotiations to secure profitable projects.

• Coordinate with principals and factories for technical proposals and quotations.

2.  Marketing & Brand Development

• Develop local marketing initiatives to strengthen Flowmach’s brand visibility.

• Represent Flowmach at exhibitions, client meetings, and industry conferences.

• Gather market intelligence on competitors, pricing, and customer preferences.

• Support digital marketing campaigns and content localization for the Indonesian market.

3.  Customer & Technical Support

• Provide pre-sales and after-sales technical support to customers.

• Liaise closely with engineering and service teams to ensure client satisfaction.

• Follow up on projects, deliveries, and service performance to maintain customer loyalty.

4. Management & Reporting

• Prepare monthly business performance reports and sales forecasts.

• Manage and motivate local sales and support teams (where applicable).

• Ensure compliance with company policies, ethical standards, and regional trade regulations.

5. Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Chemical / Industrial) or Business Administration.

• Minimum 8 years’ experience in industrial sales, preferably in valves, instrumentation, or flow control equipment.

• Proven track record of achieving sales targets in technical or project-based environments.

• Strong network with EPCs, Oil & Gas operators, and industrial clients in Indonesia.

• Experience in marketing strategies, channel management, and regional business development.

6. Skills & Attributes

• Excellent communication and negotiation skills (Bahasa Indonesia & English).

• Strong commercial and technical acumen.

• Self-driven, strategic thinker, and results-oriented.

• Willing to travel domestically and regionally.

• Leadership qualities with ability to manage multicultural teams.

7. Preferred Advantage

• Background in working with international principals or regional distributors.

• Familiar with tender processes (Pertamina, PLN, EPCs).

• Knowledge of API/ASME valve standards and oil & gas project documentation.
