HSSE Manager – ONWA Pte. Ltd. (1 year contract, based in Banda Aceh)
Role Purpose
Responsible for leading the implementation and enforcement of HSSE regulations and Conrad Asia Energy’s HSSE Management System across ONWA/OSWA exploration and drilling activities in Aceh. Serves as the key focal point for all HSSE matters, ensuring compliance with Indonesian regulatory requirements while maintaining effective relationships with authorities such as BPMA, ESDM, and the Ministry of Environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provides strategic guidance and hands-on support to management, employees, and contractors, promoting a strong safety culture through coaching, training, and clear communication of risks and standards. Works closely with technical teams to ensure HSSE considerations are fully integrated into project planning, design, and execution.
Oversees HSSE risk management to ensure hazards are identified, assessed, and reduced to ALARP levels. Leads audits, inspections, and monitoring programs to evaluate contractor performance and system effectiveness, while managing incident investigations and emergency response activities.
Responsible for HSSE planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, as well as maintaining statutory documentation and monitoring systems such as CAR and HSSE registers. Also supports environmental and social responsibilities, including EIA/UKL-UPL processes and climate-related impact assessments
Requirements
1. Degree in science or engineering, or demonstrable work experience in HSSE in Oil & Gas Exploration and Project.
2. 10 plus years related industry full-time experience in the HSSE field or 15 plus years in Technical or Operations with experience in HSSE-related works.
3. Hands-on experience in oilfield HSSE Management Systems and certifications i.e. NEBOSH or IOSH, including HSSE performance measurement and tracking.
4. Knowledge of international and local HSSE legislation, permitting, standards and applicable practices to the Oil and Gas Industry.
5. Good interpersonal, oral and written skills to effectively communicate HSSE issues.
6. Capable of managing people to maximise their potential through coaching and various management development programs.
7. Capable of negotiating with government officials and community leaders.
Business Support Manager – ONWA Pte. Ltd. (1 year contract, based in Jakarta)
Role Purpose
Leads the Finance, HR, and General Services functions, driving financial strategy and operational support to achieve the Company’s short- and long-term objectives. Oversees budgeting, long-term financial planning, and cash flow management. Ensures compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies while strengthening internal controls and improving processes. Manages financial and operational reporting, supports external and government audits, and maintains effective finance and HR systems. Provides continuous improvement and supporting strategic and ad hoc initiatives across the organization.
Assist the General Manager and operational leaders on developing the finance strategies for the Company to achieve short- and long-term business objectives in line with the vision and mission of the Company.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain Finance and HR policies, Company Regulations, systems, processes, and procedures to ensure consistency and effective implementation across the organization. Ensure full compliance with accounting standards, HR policies, and all applicable laws and regulations.
Lead the delivery of Finance, Human Resources, and General Services (GS) functional objectives. Set individual performance goals, monitor progress, and manage team performance to achieve organizational targets.
Develop budgeting models and conduct financial analysis to support long-term strategic planning, ensuring alignment with the medium- and long-term requirements of the Company and its partners. Oversee the preparation of corporate and functional budgets and monitor financial performance against these budgets to ensure the achievement of short-term financial objectives.
Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax officers, and government regulators, to ensure the timely and complete submission of reports.
Requirements
1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting / finance
2. At least 5 years of Finance and Tax Experience
3. At least 3 years of payroll experience
4. Oil and Gas industry’s Experience
5. Experience in liaising with external stakeholders ie government regulators, auditors
6. Experience in managing and developing the Team
7. Strong technical accounting, financial reporting and tax regulation skills
8. Strong analytical and numeracy skills
9. Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
10. Excellent problem solving and communication skills.
11. Excellent knowledge of MS Office and accounting system.
12. Proficiency in English
13. High level of written and verbal communication skills
